Pros +
- The hotel is kept immaculately, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there was no mask badgering. The food was excellent. Great place!
- The spacious room, shuttle to beach with chairs, courteous and accommodating staff, gorgeous interior.
- Location, facilities, clean
Cons -
- View from balcony is road and businesses, constant road noise, lack of meaningful amenities, less than premium toilet paper, very loud air conditioner, billed $100/day for onsite purchases rather than bill by charges, balcony light remains on.
- There was no bar or restaurant.
- It has been our tradition to book a very short stay at this hotel to celebrate a birthday. During our last visit, we requested a late checkout and were advised it was at 1 pm. At the time of "normal" (11 AM) checkout, we were at the pool, believing we still had 2 hours before checkout, when housekeeping simply entered our room, while a teenage girl in our party was alone and still sleeping, and informed us that the "front desk said we were already checked out." We immediately approached management, who informed us that the employee who submitted this on our behalf was "wrong" and that "late checkout was always at 12," effectively admitting they knew we hadn't checked out. They would not budge from this position. They did not make any other attempt to inform us of this error anytime, nor did they make any attempt to accommodate their error- they just made their mistake our problem, telling us basically to get out as quickly as possible, and appeared to be using housekeeping to deliver this message to a teenage girl. After demanding they address the lack of professionalism, the GM, "Julia," begrudgingly refunded some room charges and offered a nominal discount on the room—and condescendingly stated, "Sorry that [we] felt that way" about what had occurred.Needless to say, we will not be returning & looking to start a new tradition somewhere else next year. The sad part is that this really could have been easily remedied, and they would have a 5-star review if they had simply honored the checkout time that they mistakenly gave, a one-hour difference.Mr. Vernon is marketing this facility as an upscale, exclusive venue to celebrate some of life's most memorable events. However, the inability to acknowledge and remedy their own error, and perhaps the thinly veiled money grab (they said they needed the room for a "big event"), makes this place just like a flea-bag in a fur coat.

Location, facilities, clean
There was no bar or restaurant.
They were very cautious about covid and did all they could to keep us safe. Very friendly and the cleanest hotel Iâ≢ve been in.
Nice large room but too far from the elevator for me. Convenient to everything we wanted
The hotel is beautiful, pool area is all seasons and very clean and comfortable. The location is great, and the food/restaurants are very nice.

Friendly staff, very clean, great location
Shower door had opening between class doors which soaked the floor. Also you had to get in the shower to turn it on and as expected the water is super cold when you turn it on.
The rooms were spacious
The rooms could have been cleaner. The shower floor was dirty and the lamps had dust
The Christmas decorations, Kristin in the restaurant was absolutely AMAZING!!! The valet service was outstanding!!
The toilet barely flushed and the keurig machine didn’t work. I thought the manager may have comped us something but they just said we needed to hold the toilet handle down longer ( which we had tried many times ?) That was very frustrating and disappointing. We were going to come back for our “friend’s weekend “ in April for 5 days but I’m reconsidering.
Staff was exceptional at front desk, bar and especially the valet. The room was very spacious.
Was a little pricey
The roof top bar
That I have to valet my car, I can’t just come and go as I please
New, clean, large room
Valet
Location is great. We'd been to the property before and had a great time. Our initial room assignment was on the first floor facing the pool. I had no idea they had rooms facing the pool. We were disappointed because no one would want their view to be strangers swimming in the pool. Plus, the constant presence of people walking by. We asked for another room and were given one across the hall, which faces the street and valet parking. The first time we came here (2021 or 2022), we got a room on the highest floor so that's what we were expecting. We asked again for a room on a higher floor and it was accommodated. We're thankful the staff corrected the issue. The checkout was seamless and the gentleman was personable and funny. The complimentary valet parking, beach shuttle, and beach supplies are still a nice touch. We didn't get to borrow bikes this time due to time crunch. Also like that housekeeping is by request only.
The coffeemaker was dirty and had hair in it. There was loose hair from prior stays throughout. It wasn't a huge deal but it didn't feel as clean. The bathroom ceiling would get wet and drip water, which is not something that happened before (or at any hotel we've been to). I don't know if the property is under new management, but it didn't seem as luxe.
The location
There was a constant loud noise every morning coming from above our room starting very early We paid $1800 for 2 nights for our suite room but we didn’t have any view as we had the back room so our curtains were closed all day
We loved the rooftop
We thought the pool needed some supervision. Children and teens were jumping from the splash pool and throwing plastic bar cups into the pool. Parents were no where in sight. Babies with diapers were in the pool
Entire stay but we spent all day Saturday at the pool, which was phenomenal.Rooms were IMMACULATE.Brunch at SALT was delectable. Living room at night was my fave !!I shoul
I wish I stayed longer !!
We were pleasantly surprised with our brunch at SALT. Our Server, Betsy, set the experience off with a welcoming smile. With two young boys, there was plenty on the menu to satisfy them. Prices were beyond reasonable and restaurant was well located and facility was immaculate.
From the Valet to the Reception to the immaculate rooms, as well as brunch at Salt, swimming at the pool and the ever inviting living room the staff and amenities were above and beyond my expectations.
Like the covered pool. Great for rainy days and all the amenities.
The rates and location aren’t great.
Rooms are nice and providing towels, beach chairs and shuttle to beach are nice perks.
Some food presentation and quality (caesar salad) went down since last time we were there. They don't offer much in the way of breakfast anymore.
