    Pros +

    • Great staff, superior breakfast, large, clean, comfortable room, good location.
    • Parking was available under the hotel. The dinner in the restaurant was good quality and value.
    • The room size was great and the balcony was a bonus. Despite the heatwave we had a chance to sit in the balcony in the evening. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was working very well. The breakfast was just great and with a lot of variety with healthy options. The staff was helpful.

    Cons -

    • All good!
    • This was a double room but with only one lounge chair - one of us had to sit on the bed in the evening before going out.The bathroom was a little dated - but clean.
    • I cannot think of anything, everything was just great.

Very kind and thoughtful staff. Delicious breakfast. Beds very comfortable, easy free parking.

Location was very good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking on site was a bonus. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.

The shower was difficult to operate and the television was too small for the size of the room. The bar was not open during the hours specified. Overall the property was OK but probably not 4 star.

The room was very comfortable and so were the common spaces in the hotel. Bathroom was also very nice and everything was clean. Breakfast was good and the hotel is very well positioned in town center

I don't think I have anything to complain

    7LynettePosted on: 2-22-2025

The location was central, and has a car park, although the spaces are extremely small, and the entrance was very tight. It was unfortunate that there was building work going on, in the street and in the hotel, therefore there was banging and noise from 8am. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast girl on Wednesday and Thursday was efficient and friendly. Unfortunately the two breakfast staff on Friday were surly and slow. The breakfast was good for the price, and included cheese, eggs, sausage and bacon, as well as pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. The bread was excellent! The room was adequate for the price, and the bed large, but very hard. The room is old fashioned but clean. The safe was broken. The bathroom was clean and we had clean towels every day. The shower was excellent.

The bed was extremely hard. The noise from builders from 8am was disturbing, along with barking dogs from nearby flats. The car park was hard to get into with very tight spaces. Breakfast lacked fresh vegetables such as cucumber and tomatoes which are normal for a continental breakfast. A larger cheese selection would have been nice, especially for vegetarians!

Location good and parking on premises

Rooms a bit outdated and mattresses and pillows hard. Breakfast till 10h00 we got to breakfast room at 9h10 and bacon and egg was finished and wasn't refilled.

This stay was perfect for us, very close to where we had to be the next day. The room was exactly as promised with a good quality bed. We had a meal in the restaurant and that was excellent. The breakfast was also very good, lots of choice, quiet. The parking: we were lucky that there were several places free, with my large car. It was good and safe.

My husband says that in the men's toilet the sensor worked too fast, and so the light went off too quickly. That was a nuisance to him. I'm washing an extra pair of trousers now.

Clean. Parking with ev charger. Staff is friendly and we’ll speak English

Hotel came from the beginning of 2000, everything is old and should be renovated. The kitchen is overpriced. The hotel is overpriced. Location is top

The situation of the hostel is perfect..very near to the city center...the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and tasty...but no olives , no legumes (tomatoes, cucumber...etc).The staff was wonderful (Smiley and helpful)?I liked my stay here ❤️

    Everything was good?

Very comfortable stay and welcoming, helpful staff. Very elaborate breakfast and the hotel has an in house restaurant restaurant with different daily specials. We intended to stay there 2 nights, but because my wife caught a bug, had to extend our stay. The receptionist was super helpful in helping us secure extra nights and the breakfast staff brought me a tray so that I could bring breakfast to my wife. That's all truly appreciated. Location was central. We came by bus and its a 15 minutes or so walk from the station to the hotel. Castelo Branco has many interesting places to visit and it's walkable or a short uber ride from this hotel. Also, a few good restaurants are within walking distance too. There is a supermarket, a pastry shop within 5 mins walk away.

Nothing really. Maybe, the upper end of the street where the hotel is located is under road works. You can walk though the unfinished area, or take a short detour via the sdjacent street; just don't wear your fancy shoes if you decide on the former.

    Location, parking

Smell of burned paper, humming of machinery, loud talking

    10OndrejPosted on: 11-7-2024

Very nice hotel with parking for reasonable price in the centre of the town.

    9KimberlyPosted on: 10-20-2024

Breakfast was great, we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent and the price was great. Shower had great pressure. Garage was appreciated. Our only issue was the bed was hard and not comfortable for us. Location was great for walking to all of the attractions we wanted to see.

Just the bed, otherwise it was a great stay.

    9VaughanPosted on: 10-8-2024

Lovely staff at reception, wanted your stay to be as comfortable as possible. The room was lovely, and breakfast was really nice.

Lunch/Dinner venue was suppose to be open for lunch but it was closed. Bar was supposed to open and that too was closed. Very disappointing when you exhausted from travelling and can't get a meal or a drink.

    1CarlaPosted on: 10-5-2024

    Breakfast was very poor.

Dated, everything is old. Matress was broken, bathroom ceiling full of mould, shower curtain full of mould, there was poo in the toilet, bathroom door was broken. Dogs barking in the building next door at 1.00 am. We booked 4 nights and just stayed 1 night.

    10DanielPosted on: 10-1-2024

The style of the hotel is old fashioned but it is comfortable. The staff were friendly and we were quite close to the centre, with a variety of restaurants to choose from.

TV didn’t have much options of channels and no Netflix. There parking facility isn’t very spacious and when it’s quite full can be tricky to park.
