Captain's Inn at Moss Landing

Very clean. Plenty of towels comfortable bed and pillows fireplace good lighting and no one bugging you and somewhat quiet

All good. If I would critique anything it would just be minor things. Like controls for tub took a bit to get used to (hot and cold) and sheets a bit rough but no big deal

Seltsam viele Regeln bereits im Voraus. Zimmer klein und mit Stil. Teilweise aber unn¿tig unpraktisch. Selbstverst¿ndliche Dinge fehlen wie Steckdosen oder Ablagefl¿che im Bad.

Bed was hard as a rock they need to change the beds out and also they need to do touch up a lot of things were chipped and stained

I¿ve stayed twice so far. 2 different very clean rooms. My main concern fyi. Very clean. Easy check in. Great price.Left alone. Private. Quiet. Easy and surprising had popcorn and quick breakfast snacks

No maybe good to have a chair in the room. But loved it all

No iron board available. Too many rules.

Unique character, relaxing atmosphere and clean and tidy in a great location for walking the area (beach, trails, restaurants)

Without AC (which was expected and not promised), required leaving window open - a bonus for fresh sea air - however I could hear a little street noise. Not at all a deal breaker and I¿d absolutely stay in same room again.

The room was cozy, and we had the run of the living room and dining room.

The information sent ahead of time was written with an antagonistic tone - warnings and prohibitions and fines. In fact, the hosts on site were quite friendly and welcoming.

TV was worthless with Dish. No local channels. We stayed here years ago. Seems like property owner worship has changed. Not as friendly as the past.

Quiet location an easy drive to Monterey and Big sur without fighting the crowds and traffic. Also 3-4 good restaurants within walking distance. Very friendly staff with excellent breakfasts daily. We loved the view of wildlife right outside windows.

We loved the view out of our upstairs room. This made the atmosphere of the room wonderful. Each morning we could watch and hear the many birds that gathered at the river. The room was very quiet and comfortable. We walked from the room to the beach in 5 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

More regular coffee pods in the room. It was a bit odd that there was only the soaking tub and no real shower. Not sure that this was totally clear on the website. Next time, I would choose a room with a shower. Breakfast would have been nice since there were no restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. I also don't understand why our accommodation was so much more than the prices shown on booking very near to the time of our stay. I think it was a bit overpriced.

What a great place to stay. We sat in our room upstairs for breakfast watching the otters swim by. Also, went over the berm to the ocean in the evenings and watched whales from the shore. It was also very close to Elkhorm Slough where we rented kayaks

Making the tub into a tub shower would be great but still would stay upstairs regardless

Spacious and comfortable rooms in a beautiful and serene location overlooking the Elkhorn Slough and so much wildlife. The Innkeeper was super helpful and knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations in the local area.

The uniqueness, decor, staff friendliness.

Put the “please clean room” sign on our door but the room was not cleaned when we got back later that night.

Very peaceful ! Enjoyed the surrounding nature watching the seals and sea otters and binoculars were provided. Nice shared kitchen area with coffee and light snacks. Would definitely recommend!

Nice hosts, charming property, and nice common areas. We even saw sea otters in the tidal creek behind the inn!

The traffic noise can be heard if you have the windows open on the land side rooms.

We love staying here because the views are amazing and the Sail Away room is so romantic!! So much wildlife to see. The innkeeper made us feel special by sharing a glass of bubbly with us when we arrived. Coffee in the room was delicious to sip as we gazed out the large windows at the view. We will definitely be back!

Only drawback is that there is not much to do that’s within walking distance.
