Nice looking, the decoration and location is great.

However the room is humid, the towel has a big smell of disinfectant. And there was no hot water in one night during our stay.

A little scruffy..

The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. There was plenty of choices and an additional choice for special omelet. Coffee was available all day and night. The staff were very friendly and quick to help with our questions. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was amazing for walking to center and many restaurants.

The only thing that was not great was that the shower base was very slippery. Maybe more non slip tape should be put through the whole shower base.

Loved everything about this quirky property. Absolutely the best location in Lima. It has lovely staff, fantastic rooms, excellent breakfasts. Welcome cocktail a lovely touch. Free water to refill your bottles, free coffee and tea throughout!!

Would have preferred a little more bathroom privacy (shower doors rather see through). A lift would be nice but the staff did help with luggage (thank goodness as at the end of a 23 days trip there was a LOT).

Construction currently happening in the courtyard. It would be great if they could limit it to M - Friday and allow a quiet Saturday for guests. Also, strong recommendation to put full length mirrors in the rooms instead of just a bathroom mirror.

Great breakfast - tons of options. Wonderful location in Barranco - easy to walk around the neighborhood. Really great transformation of an old mansion into a welcoming and wonderful retreat in Lima.

Casa Republica Barranco is a beautiful historic building, in the center of Barranco with walking distance to many excellent eateries, a block from the cliff looking down at the ocean, and 30-min nice walk to Larcomar. The staff is very friendly and efficient, from the reception desk to the breakfast host. Breakfast is a bit on the generic side but it works fine for us; also the dining room is open 24/7, which is nice if you would like a sip of coffee/tea late into the night. There is no elevator, but the staff would help with the luggages for rooms upstairs. The bar on the roof top is very cozy — we hung out there for a few hours waiting for our late night flight and the staff handed out a couple blankets for us to keep warm, in addition to the heat lamp — I'm surprise that it is not very popular?

Bathroom door is a bit leaky when shower, but it's just a minor thing.

We booked the superior suite at the hotel. Thier best available suite. It was very nicely decorated, nice bathroom and spacious tub. The downfall is that it is the first room before the reception area. The acustic isolation is very poor so you here all day and night the other guest as they walk in. As they are greeted by reception and ongoing conversation. You all hear all the traffic of cars honking horns outside of the bedroom. All this made the enjoying the beautiful suite all to difficult.

The staff was just wonderful! We loved the courtyard, breakfast, rooftop bar. But mostly the staff.

We needed more hooks in the bathroom. No big deal, but it would help .

Beautiful hotel. Great location. The staff was wonderful. We had a huge room right by the entrance front door, which we know would likely be loud. They were able to move us to a quieter room, which we greatly appreciated. We'd stay here again for sure!

The hotel is in a fabulous location. So close to Barranca and many great restaurants. It’s on a very quiet street so we had a wonderful nights sleep. We found the staff extremely helpful with helpful recommendations. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed a welcome drink on the roof top bar which was a lovely touch. The room was filled with wonderful details. The soaps, hair care products and lotions were of a high quality. It was our favourite hotel of the journey that was nearly 1 month at that time. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

After a lovely breakfast in the hotel I found the boxed breakfast which we took to the airport a little disappointing. But that’s so minor
