    Pros +

    • The room was big, clean and modern. There was a nespresso machine in the room which I really appreciate. Breakfast is good and has lots of selection but there was no coffee machine in the breakfast room which was a disappointment. Even an Ibis Styles hotel in Lima has recently installed a coffee machine in the breakfast room.
    • Given its proximity to San Isidro’s business center, this place caters to business travelers, which during my stay was buzzing with them and their events. So the lobby felt like a busy airport. As a vacationer I miss to start with, a bell boy who could help with luggage during check in. There are what looks like security guards but it is not their duty to help carry luggage or bring it up to one’s room. That responsibility falls to whoever is at the front desk, provided they have the time to help. Even when I had packages delivered I had to call reception to have them delivered to my room, which is done by whoever answers the phone, which I find odd and taxing to the staff. The toilet is in a separate room of its own, which is wonderful. A great addition was the barber shop in the lobby. Sunday morning the activity in the lobby increased even more, as one of their meeting salons doubles as a meeting place for the congregation of a church founded by a local soccer player. It attracts a throng of characters of all ages.As a rule I avoid restaurants at hotels. Within walking distance one can find great places to eat.
    • Breakfast options were excellent. Liked that you can order your omelets Staff was humble . All receptionists especially Mark and Melinda were super friendly and professional. Thank you all.

    Cons -

    • At 7.20 in the morning someone of the housekeeping staff attempted to break into room. I didn't understand what they needed but they were very insistent. In general, many of the personnel at the reception and restaurant behave as if they worked at a 5+ star hotel. not a middle class Novotel, and display the respective amount of pathos.
    • Lack of bell boys. Too many events during my stay.
    • No negatives

I loved the variety available at breakfast and the staff friendliness. The neighborhood is amazing to explore on foot with lots of restaurants, parks and landmarks nearby.

My room didn't have a restaurant QR to order room service - although this was easily solved by the friendly staff who explained the menu on the phone.

    not happy less than mediocre

It was not what I expected at all. The hotel is medium to low quality and the service is just ok not a “great hotel” as all the reviews mentioned. Definitely not a high quality place almost basic or les surprisingly for the area it’s located. The hallways do not have air conditioning!! The bar is just ok nothing fancy and the lobby decor way too cheesy.I guess it applies you get what you paid for. Also when I was going up on the elevator (bell boy can corroborate) the elevator door closed so hard on my arm/neck that I am bruised and it was not that I had taken long to get off the bell boy got off and as I was getting out it just closed so hard that it still hurts. I would’ve expected that the bell boy acknowledge it and report it too…nothing. If you want cheap and don’t expect too much from a hotel but just the minimum then this is for you. I moved to another hotel was not happy with this one. Four stars?!!! not sure about that

Excellent location, very clean room, flexible room service, effective and fast acting staff both in reception and during breakfast, very good breakfast too!

    That I didn’t have a balcony

Staff was very polite, and as I traveled for business, it was closed to several offices. Quite decent breakfast as well. Would stay here again with no problem.

Nothing major, just a lump in my mattress.

    Convinience

Misunderstanding of front desk while check-in.She said breakfast not including but I was sure I book the room with breakfast.

    the breakfast

the iron provided in the room left permanent stain on my shirts.the hair dryer did not work.only 1 bottle of drinking water provided for free during my 4-night stay.

Very good location Excellent service and facilties.Loved the variety within the breakfast buffet.Recommended Would definitely stay here again on my return to Peru

There isn't much we did not like.

    Cleanliness and spaciousness of rooms

The bed although is comfortable but just way too narrow even for one person. They are good probably for children. The room is big enough so why not change to full size beds if not queen size beds since “sleep” is why a hotel exist?

    1RomitPosted on: 5-28-2024

    Avoid!

The rooms are shabby and dimly lit. The water is charged at PEN 16 per bottle, not a single bottle is free. I forgot my toothpaste so the hotel wanted to charge me PEN 25 or so for the entire kit. There were no toiletries provided at all. I'm glad it was only for 1 night.

staff was great very safe, nice pool

    bathrooms were very small.

    9NormanPosted on: 5-18-2024

Excellent location and good value. I would stay here again.

The only downside is the extremely slow service in the restaurant. The quality of the food is good, although the variety is a little limited; but even during slow times, the delivery and attentiveness are below expectations for the Novotel brand

I enjoyed the breakfast with alot of varieties & area is clean and organize. Front desk staff is very helpful.

I didn't like the separate toilet room doesn't have exhaust fan or air freshener. There's no soap dish or holder, the soap always fall off the small sink. Hall way to our room is kind of dark and doesn't have air freshener. So it smells stuffy and lack of fresh air.

The TV was on smaller size, but did not use it that much.

Everything was perfect! Location, Food, Room. Staff.

The Gym needs some maintenance with respect of the age of the equipment, but did the work!
