staff nice and freindly,clean spacious room,location and good restaurant meet our expectations

The location was great and close to plenty of things to walk to. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was wonderful. Breakfast was small but more than enough to find something each morning. So enjoyed sitting with coffee on the patio out front

Our room was awkward. The couch in the room was old and didn¿t have legs and so low to the ground. The bed was comfortable but HUGE even compared to a king size and the headboard was the size of a twin. Pictures crooked on wall. Nothing like their websit

Great location in safe neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Friendly and helpful staff.

I didn't get to stay here as they canceled my reservation while I was on a flight into the country...I only got notice of cancelation upon landing and no explanation why as I had previously communicated to them that I would be checking in at 1am of the following day due to where I was flying from

The attitude I received when I called and the fact that I got no explanation as to why my booking wad canceled yet i was still charged a no show fee

Unfortunately didn’t have a good time. Our room was dark, the AC smelled terribly, checkin ran late.. the hotel doesn’t intend to be a modern place and thats ok, but some things need to be updated such as power outlets by the nightstand.. Definitely not what I expected of a 4 stars hotel.

Antara is a gem. Don’t expect brand new and shiny. Antara is full of character and charm, with antiques, art and memorabilia providing an elegant yet cosy vibe. Beautifully appointed rooms with amenities rarely found in hotels of similar value in Peru (fridge, hairdryer). The rooms and bathrooms are truly spacious and the beds very comfortable. Beautiful monogrammed linen was an added touch. The staff went out of their way to support our needs. We had tours booked out of Lima and went back and forth a couple of times. The staff readily stored our excess luggage on both occasions and we were delighted with upgraded rooms on our return. The breakfast buffet was very good, in a lovely intimate setting and with a good range of fresh and cooked foods. We dined in the restaurant with the Menu’ Primaveral de Casa (spring menu of the house). Delicious and excellent value. The location is terrific. Easy to find and our tour bus collected at the door. Situated in the heart of Miraflores there is a very good supermarket next door and cafes, restaurants and bars abound in a vibrant neighborhood. An immensely walkable area, I recommend walking to the coast for beautiful views . Within a 15 minute walk is the expansive artisan market area worth exploring for the colour and texture, and good deals on souvenirs. We hope to return one day.

There was very little not to like. One suggestion: whilst hot water was readily available from the very helpful restaurant staff, tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would be perfect.

The room was right next to a room with a motor or something that was running perhaps it was the air conditioning unit for the hotel...it was SO noisy. Also the pillow was the hardest lumpiest pillow I've ever had. I didn't sleep well.

My husband and I booked this hotel a little over 2 weeks ago. It was confirmed. We received a message about a week ago, asking what time we would be arriving. I answered and also asked if they could help with the arrangement of transportation to their hotel (as part of their additional services). No response. Morning we were to arrive, I again contacted them, updating them of our arrival time and gave my husband's phone number, explaining that I don't have servife. Again, asking for transportation. Hours go by, but there is no response. At the airport (set to arrive at the hotel in about 2 hours), I get a message on my phone, just saying good afternoon. Again, I answered, explaining to please message my huaband, gave his number again because I won't have service. We board the plane. Land. Thankfully, my phone connected to the wifi at the airport. I received a message that they couldn't take us anymore, and they are canceling our reservation. Find another hotel. So, there we are at the airport, it's getting late, and we don't have a place to stay. Thankfully, we found another place. It's the lack of communication all week, and then last minute communication with no explanation as to why they were canceling, and the lack of respecting my request to communicate with my husband who had cell service that gets me. If I couldn't have connected to the wifi or didn't, we would have gone to the hotel to find out that they canceled on us.

We have been charged twice for the one night stay by the hotel. We did explain that they have booked 2 rooms in error for the same people who were staying the night. They would not listen to us and asked us to contact Booking. Com. We have already sent this to them and awaiting their reply. We already have an email saying that one room was cancelled which we showed to the hotel but they still charged us for the room we did not use. We would like this to be refunded back to us.

Breakfast was the same every day. No variety. Although it was descent.

AC in my room was not working properly. Roaches in my mom's room. Bathrooms needed more privacy and to many politics to let a family member in the room.

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the center and the staff (especially Jesus) were incredible. The breakfast was immense and delicious, and the beds and rooms were very nice.

Booked this via booking.doc was in contact with the hotel constantly had no reply. Once arriving at the hotel at 11.30pm first time in Peru to find they had no room for us, gave a stupid excuse that our room flooded and they tried to contact me. I had no contact from them at all. They did give me a full refund but also didn't help in any other way.

The room was a great size and the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was so very outdated and the room overall was not the cleanest. I kept finding other people’s hair and after my first night (I crashed following a 20 hour journey to Lima) I noticed that the bed sheets were dirty ?Most of the staff were very nice and friendly though and they came to sort out the sheets immediately after I called them and apologized. Overall the hotel just needs to be remodeled. That’s what most of my issues are; a lot of the wiring/sockets didn’t work well, the lights were dim which made getting ready in the evening difficult, the windows don’t seal shut so it was very noisy at night with the bar across the street. The pillows were small and lumpy, cracks in the bathroom towels etc. Just an old hotel. When I arrived looking pretty gross after my long journey the guy at reception was very unhelpful and dismissive. It was too early for me to check in so I changed my clothes, freshened up and left my luggage while I went out for a bit. After my ‘transformation’ his whole demeanor changed and he was more than happy to help me while staring at my chest for the entire conversation. It made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. And my discomfort increased throughout my stay as I never saw a single female staff member during my 4 days there and just a couple of these guys (the rest were very polite) kept checking me out. So unprofessional and so uncomfortable! And who do I get to complain to??This is the nail in the coffin for them that means I would never ever come back.

The rooms were nice and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Location was great, we walked everywhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The sauna was only lukewarm, did not work so not worth getting that room, waste of money.
