Hotel Jose Antonio

Overall very goood

When we got a complimentary drink, the woman at the bar treated us like we were annoying her at her job. There were absolutely no other clients and she only had us to serve, but it seemed like we’re completely putting her off. She asked what we’re doing when we ordered there was no thank you or welcome when she dropped the drinks off again it was just complete silence. We felt like we were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Everything was great! The hotel got me a car to pick me up at the airport, super easy and the man was lovely! I only speak English and everyone was great to communicate with! Great location and amenities for the price! Will be back!

There were several options at breakfast.

There was construction next to the building, it would've been helpful to know that before booking as we went to bed pretty late and could hear the construction going on first thing in the morning.

Comfortable hotel, excellent location, very nice breakfast.

The buffet breakfast was awesome, the beds were comfortable, and we received a courtesy welcome drink. They stored our luggage for 2 nights while we were on a short trip to Paracas, Huacachina and Nasca, at no extra cost. The staff was kind.

The safe is difficult to use. I tried to use it twice (following the written instructions), but I was never able to use it properly.

Overall we had a great stay. It was super convenient as it was in the right location for us. And it was quite clean and it good condition

Location

Front desk service - not friendly. When we checked in at the front desk at 3:30pm, we were asked to wait for 3 minutes to get our room ready. However we waited for about 15-20 minutes, the room is not ready. We were assigned a room at three streets crossing, very noisy at night and also the morning. Bad experience. I left a note at booking.com to request the room change. No response from the hotel.

Good location, easy walk to Larcomar. Comfortable bed. The shower had great water pressure. There is a free breakfast.

The Internet was not very good. They were doing construction during our stay so it was loud during the day and the restaurant was closed (though we were able to go to the partner location across the street).

My second time here. Lovely, clean, wonderful staff. I especially want to thank Carlos at the front desk for his hospitality and getting so many things done!

- Good location, close to the coast. - Staff was very helpful. We reached at 7 am and while early check-in would be at 12/1pm, they gave us a room at 9am. - Breakfast had a great variety of options, loved it. - The bathroom had 110V and 220V outlets in case you wanted to use your US made appliances. I didn't use them but good to have the option.

- Room was very small, just enough to fit the bed and some space for luggage but you'll be walking over it.

WiFi is slow

It’s in a great location. The buffet breakfast was super delicious and they offer a variety. Loved the natural juices.

Probably the location

The facility is in need of refurbishing. The furniture and the rooms and public areas look old and dark. I don’t think I’d return.

Good hotels except for the inferior beds.

I stayed in two different Jose Antonio Hotels in Lima. One was called Jose Antonio Lima on 28 de Julio and the other one was Jose Antonio Deluxe on C. Bellavista. The beds in both of these hotels were much too soft and I got a backache. That was the downside of these hotels. A guest should be able to get a proper night's sleep without sleeping on a lumpy, uneven bed. Otherwise these hotels were good places to stay.

Location and modern with a huge room and sitting area.

There were a couple of long hairs on the decorative throw at the end of the bed. The rest of the bed and room were clean.

Many tour groups stay here, loud at 6 am with people departing, talking and slamming doors. I reserved one night at this hotel prior to joining a group tour. When I checked in, the staff at the front desk found the separate booking, and I emphasized to him that I did not want to have to move rooms the next day. He looked up the tour booking and assured me that the room he was giving me that nightI could stay in both that night and for the tour, there was no need to move rooms. The next morning, I am in a l rush to make an appointment, and at 8 AM a note is put under my door that I need to check out of the room that day, they had made a mistake. I went down to the front desk and said that I did not have time to pack up all my belongings, and she was insistent that that was too bad for me, nonchalant about their staff making the error, they had given me an upgraded room and they needed it for someone else so I had to vacate. This made for a stressful experience, trying to pack everything quickly and I was late for my appointment.When I got to my new room, there was a hair in the bathroom sink and one next to the faucet handle. One person on the tour checked in and opened her door at 11:35 to find another person sleeping in the bed, the hotel had given her an occupied room. Also, you are not able to drink tapwater in Peru, and this hotel does not provide free bottled water in the room. When I questioned the front desk he did not bother to tell me that they do provide a water refilling station on the second floor, which would’ve solved the problem. Also, there is a person on our tour who made arrangements with the hotel for transportation from the airport, and they failed to show up. Her arrival was 4 AM, she waited over an hour and then took a taxi to the hotel. When she talked with the staff at the front desk, they Denied having made the arrangement, she showed the email as proof No outlets for phone chargers, you have to unplug a lamp

The room was clean and better than we expected

Altough the breakfast seemed good - a wire wool from a hand scrouer came out of our guacamole. After that the hotel didn’t feel very clean.The walls are really thin you can hear everything going on in the hotel.

Place clean staff friendly. I highly recommend. Close to park Kennedy.
