Hostal California Inn

Pros +

• It's a great deal, especially for the price. The staff is very friendly. The room has everything you wold need, hot strong shower, very spacios, comfy bed. It's super clean and tidy. Was really comfortable.
• Good value and clean. Staff were welcoming and helpful, even giving us a temporary light during Ecuador's scheduled power outages. Note that there is no lift, so luggage will need to be carried up the stairs. Resident cat and also a water dispenser on the ground floor were additional nice touches.

Cons -

• The only minor thing was that it's on a main street and it's a little noisy during night hours.
• Very limited toiletries in the bathroom, and the street it's on can get dark at night (no issues with safety overall though), although that might also have been due to power outages. Walkable to the Malecn but also not that close either.
