Isla Verde Hotel

The rooms were nice, they were quiet and cool and dark for sleeping. The staff was very nice and helped with things that we needed. The breakfast was very good. It was not too far from the airport.

Staff members. Hotel Employee is phenomenal and goes beyond any efforts to make us have a gray stay. Hotel Employee was also amazing! I never seen this level of service and commitment.

Very convenient location at walking distance from the US embassy. Comfortable room, good breakfast, nice lobby, free parking, and staff who were super-helpful above and beyond.Also night time security is present.

Comfortable and very clean. If you’re doing business at the US Embassy in San Jose Costa Rica, it’s a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I’d stay here even if I wasn’t doing anything with the embassy. The staff was outstanding and very attentive.

Not worth the price

Location is not that safe to go out for dinner. Only Asian food at the restaurant. Not great and very expensive. Pretty noisy place. Very noisy A/C.

Very friendly staff and owners. Excellent breakfast and an on-site Cantonese restaurant, which unfortuneately on this visit I was unable to try, but definitely will on next visit. Modern eclectic vibe to the decor with a wonderful open air lounge area and convenient on-site parking. Small but comfortable rooms with bathroom equipped with organic amenities - the property emphasizes sustainability and environmental protection and generates its own solar power

Everything was great, but maybe a bar area would be nice

The room was excellent, recently remodeled I think. Very comfortable bed, good shower, the A/C worked and was quiet and there is a safe that can fit a laptop. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu for lunch and dinner looks very good, Chinese food. I only had one lunch there and it was very good - noodles with shrimp and pork.

The breakfast selection could maybe offer more bread and fruit choices. And the eggs weren't very hot even though they were kept in a heat table tray.

Lovely staff who were so kind and helpful. Modern building, parking, very comfortable bedroom. About half an hour from airport. We stayed here on our first and last night in Costa Rica. So glad we did! Thank you.

Breakfast was okay but could definitely be improved.

The location was good because as a US citizen in the country for the first time, I appreciated being situated near the Embassy as I adjusted to the area. My room was basic, but fine, and the breakfast was delicious. If you like walking, the neighborhood is very walkable with lots of parks and a shopping center nearby with a food court. The street the hotel faces is quite busy, but I was able to secure a parking space right in front even after leaving and coming back later in the evening. The staff was very helpful, and held my bag when I arrived early, but the room was not ready.

I thought the hotel would have a little more green space based on the pictures, but it was minimal. However, it was nice to sit in the area with the plants and unwind after traveling and while waiting for my room. I had a nice stay for my first night in the country.

The front manager Jorge was extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The hospitality was absolutely amazing - the concierges, parking attendant, housekeepers, and restaurant staff were so kind and helpful. Great location, price, and breakfast. I would 100% recommend staying here if you’re traveling to the San Jose area!
