    Pros +

    • You get what you pay for. The place is old, never get much renovation. Is ok if you on a budget and don’t need to don’t time in your room. Location is great.
    • Helpful/friendly staff, located in historical center, good wi-fi, easy check-in, quiet, affordable.
    • We stayed at this hotel for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The people working there were super friendly and hospitable. It's in an excellent location in downtown Zacatecas, a 3 minute walk to the cathedral. Our room was large and comfortable, with a nice bed and new sheets and bedding. They provide drinking water, which is great - we don't want to fill the world with discarded plastic water bottles. They serve breakfast (which you pay for from a reasonably priced menu) and cafe de olla which is free. There's a rooftop terrace with a great view of the city, with cablecars to Cerro la Bufa going right over your head. It was great value, and as I've already mentioned, the staff are genuinely welcoming and helpful.

    Cons -

    • Hot water is inconsistent. Furnishing is older.
    • It takes a while for the water in the shower to turn hot, like 10 or 15 minutes. You have to be patient - once it warms up, there's plenty of hot water. The hotel is on a main street so it can be noisy, especially on the weekend. It didn't bother me, and it doesn't go on that late. If you're sensitive to noise you can ask for a room at the back where it's quiet.
    • The beds are too hard and things are outdated.

The location is excellent if you want to be in the downtown colonial area, price was good and friendly staff.

The beds are too hard and things are outdated.

People were great, they made us feel like home, really helpful, near to all major places like the cathedral, laina del Eden, close to el Centro

When I take a shower it is hard to correct the water temperature, it was too hot or too cold, I still love that place.

It was comfortable and being at the heart of the city, have access to market and turistic activities

The hotel room was large and very comfortable. The rooftop terrace was a nice place to spend time and admire the views of the city and surroundings.

It was extremely noisy at times, usually in the evenings, with traffic noise and very loud amplified music from passing cars.

    8KevinPosted on: 2-22-2024

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were attentive and the room was cleaned daily and well supplied with soap, towels, etc. The hotel is situated within walking distance of all the major attractions in the city.

The main drawback to the hotel’s location is that the rooms that look out onto the street are subjected to extremely loud amplified music from passing vehicles in the evening, I strongly recommend bringing earplugs.

the street noise at night is unbearable. Hooligans with blaring car stereos cruize in front of the hotel all night. The window glass in the room was actually vibrating from the noise.

Wonderful location very near the Cathedral. Parking is within the hotel and locked so very secure. The staff was wonderful.

    Great setting. Authentic feel.

For lack of a proper coffee pot, the coffeemaker doesn’t function.
