I liked that the hotel felt historical and was in central downtown. Made it easy to get around everywhere we wanted to go.

The bathroom had poor water pressure in the shower and there were roaches in the bathroom. The hot water barely worked as well.

    Great loctation only

I wouldnt recomend this hotel. The location is amazing but the room not clean the bed sheets had stains and the beds extremely uncomfortable

The location is amazing. We’re literally across the cathedral, walking distance from my favourite coffee shop, there’s a Starbucks like 200meters , there is a lot of restaurants and cute boutiques that you can shop and eat

The properties definitely old, but he has some character which I love my favourite part was the music they had going on the entire time, it was a perfect place to take photos for Instagram, we decided to upgrade to a room with a balcony with a view to the cathedral and it was the best thing ever, we got a lot of amazing shots and the beds were comfortable, we we barely spend time at the hotel, but it was definitely comfortable

The property is I a great location. This is building is old and I don’t mind old buildings as long it is clean

I reserved 3 rooms and all rooms have cleaning issues. The front desk were not friendly they had an attitude. All male, and they really had a bad attitude. They did not greet us with courtesy and they look like they were mad all the time. Not great customer service. However, the staff at the breakfast and also the cleaning personal were very friendly. However, they seem that they were scared of the front desk staff.

    Location

Lack of amenities like shampoo, conditioner, for being a “luxury” hotel it didn’t give of those extra features. The bed was extremely hard and the blankets were thin. No actual comforter blanket. The fridge was unplugged so the food we had brought went bad.

Breakfast was excellent, location perfect, terrace had a great view of the cathedral. Very cool old building with interesting decor

    Room had no exterior window

Rooms can be kept better, some wall paper coming off, some dust. Very noisy with other guests, party at night.

    Location

The road to the hotel was closed due to a street fair. We had to pay to park the car in a parkade. The hotel refused to reimburse us or give us a discount. There was a Karaoke party which the reception told us would finish by 10.00pm. there was music and lots of noise until the early morning of the following day.The breakfast took 20 minutes to arrive and was completely cold.

    Location, staff, costumer service, clean.

They have some flower pots by every window that needs to be replace or remove because they have a hole and is licking all day and night that makes a lot of noise/ shower heads needs to be replace often because they are clogged

It has history behind it. Architectural side of it just something I have always loved so this stay was perfect for me. No need for a car everything close and if needed a taxi or Uber will do without it even being a long drive. Highly recommend it if you like this type of architecture but if you prefer more of a modern look this is probably not for you.

Really there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it from staff to the property all were great. At first I did notice there was no iron when I had called before to ask but when I asked the front desk they supplied me with one so all was good.

Hotel Casa Sta Lucia is centrally located downtown near the Cathedral. Really great location! It has a balcony on the 4th floor that has spectacular views of Av. Hidalgo and the Cathedral. The location can't be overemphasized, it is wonderful! For the price paid it was a fairly good value!

I had room 401 and it was decent. It had some wear showing in some of the furnishings (e.g., wallpaper peeling, faded upholstery on furniture, etc.). While the bed was comfortable and the room did have air conditioning, the one issue I had with the room, and this not the fault of the property, is that the air conditioner was right above the bed, meaning, when the a/c was on it blew directly on the bed. While some folks like to have cold a/c blowing on them, I do not and I had developed sinus congestion on the trip (due to the altitude of Zacatecas (>8,000 ft)), the a/c blowing on me exacerbated my condition. I don't fault Casa Sta. Lucia with that, it is what it is. Also, on the weekends it can be quite noisy in room 401 as it is close to the rooftop balcony. I didn't mind it though as the Mexican people are very affable and love life and are very joyful and friendly, it is just to be kept in mind that if you are looking for sanitarium levels of silence, that won't be the case. Again, the location is superb! While housekeeping made the bed every day and brought linens, I noticed a thin layer of dust on the back of the wood support for the chair, and as I was already sensitve to dust, this didn't soothe my poor sinuses. On the second day though, the room felt noticeably cleaner, smelt fresher, but the dust on the furnishings was still there.
