Hotel Posada del Hidalgo - Centro Histórico a Balderrama Collection Hotel

Pros +

• We liked the location. The rooms are clean.
• Near everything in the central area. Very comfortable bed and room.
• The buildings, ceilings and the dining room are beautiful. The grounds in general are lovely. We missed the Zorro show but it sounded camp- promising.

Cons -

• We got the impresion that the staff at the reception favors turist that are coming in tours, usually on their way to "Barrancas del Cobre". But for Mexican tourists we felt a litle bit on the downside, even tough we were paying the same rate. Our waiter at the "El Zorro show" was very nice and that is the only reason I didn't give the lowest score to the staff, but other than that, you can really feel the difference. Too sad to experience.
• Many steps or ramps up to rooms and main area, no elevator.
• The food is not the strong suit. We saw the dinners included in the package tours and decided against. The breakfast buffet was average, and not memorable.
