Villa Del Palmar Cancun

Attentiveness of the staff, cleanliness and its location. Loved my room! I think this hotel is excellent! Best stay ever!

Nothing that I could think of.

The rooms were beautiful.

The food was terrible. The staff was not nice and the pool staff did not provide good service. The location is not ideal as there is nothing around and a taxi is required for everything. The beach was not good.

Lovely property, great staff, clean and pleasant environment

Remote location, outside side, fine if you have no desire to venture off property

the one bedroom was big and had a kitchen. However, it needed to be fumigated due to the ants, but i did not bother to get it fumigated. I did not cook instead. Clean room, gorgeous view, nice hammock on the balcony, mexican restaurant was good.

Too much seeweed on the beach. pool did not have a walk up pool bar, too far from downtown, extra charges for internet. Hotel was not cheap, I could have stated at grand coral fiesta for that price.

I like the big spacious rooms and the jacuzzi tub in the room. I liked how our balcony had the hammock on it. The room was awesome.

When we checked in, we was told the room would be ready by 3, then at 3 they told us 4 then at 4 they told us 5. We was given room keys and as we approached the room the maintenance crew and housekeeping was still in the room. We had no face cloths.

Our apartment was huge only negative it needed cleaning and paint was leaking everywhere !

Food and drinks were good, room was really clean and majority of the staff were very welcoming. Beach and the pools were nice.

Tipping shouldnt be this much center of everything! This was so called all inclusive booking but they wont even let you to get a banana at breakfast. Constantly you have to close out like you were in a normal restaurant then you have to tip. It was irritating.Concierge was also not really nice, had to wait till 3 pm to get the room; i stayed in Cancun before and this was never being a huge deal like they did in this hotel. They even didnt help on the last day to schedule a taxi. Normally a resort should have their own airport taxis.

Food , amenities and more so the staff !!! One of the best all inclusive options

The booking for the Italian restaurant.. the other restaurants were readily accessible .so expected the same for the Italian cuisine.

High end service and food.

Certain part of the menus in restaurant is high end,- chef choice. For all inclusive I’d expect a bit more than 20% discount…

The hotel is beautiful! The restaurants are amazing. The staff is amazing! The ocean view is amazing. 10/10 ! I will be returning. I came here for my birthday and I had a great time. I was accommodated with cake and champagne for my birthday and that was great ! I highly recommend .

Recently modernized facilities, very clean and super friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was fabulous.

Mosquitoes they had a lot.Another thing I didn’t appreciate is that in our arrival staff wanted to arrange a meeting to introduce other hotel “ Garza Blanca”..we were tired from our trip and the next day took half our day when they initially said only 90 min at the most.The beach side is not the best. Over price on things.. like a massage for over $400.00 dollars just to mention one.

Mosquitoes.Evening time was a nightmare.Caution - Don't go downstairs in the evening or outside the pool or beach side.There were mosquitoes in my room.It was horrible. I asked for insecticide but the staff said there was none.My husband and I will have to spend money to treat ourselves of malaria when we get back to our country.Please refund me part of the money spent at the hotel for my hospital treatment.It was horrible! Everything , food , location, service, they also upgraded one of our rooms at check in, which is awesome, I requested that upgrade, but they didnt charge me for it.Loved.our suites, very convenient for families like us .

Location is far if you want to go in Zona hoteleria .Some server / waiters keep forcing you for tips or put a pouting face , which I didnt appreciate, even though I tipped everywhere and gave good tips , I understand they work hard and they definitely deserve it , but their reactions are so fast. I did all inclusive, so tips are included as well , but that doesn't matter , I tipped them all . Anyways other this is minor glitch , I enjoyed.our stay.

Pretention and lies

Upon arrival they told us we met the "criteria" for an upgrade and lied about switching us over to a 5 diamond building next door, a hotel called Garza Blanca. We mentioned the 5 diamond rating to guy at the new registration desk and he said they were not 5 diamonds. So this review is about the Garza Blanca since that's where we ended up staying. While it is certainly a nice hotel, the staff were pretentious and chasing after their tips by trying to force us to have their staff help us with things we didn't want or need help with. When we didn't let them they were rude and dismissive. They also told us there all these restaurant options to choose from, which was not true as some restaurants only served people who had purchased the all inclusive (meal) packages. They also failed to mention that you needed to make reservations for the other restaurants and made it very difficult for us to find eating options on the premises. AND leaving the premises to find food was also a big ordeal since the location of this resort was basically in an undeveloped area and when you walked off the resort there were no walkable options. Despite how nice the hotel looked we had a terrible stay. Never going back and certainly not ever recommending this place to anyone.

Not safe, not honest – avoid this resort

My experience at Villa del Palmar Cancun was extremely disappointing. I slipped on a wet floor inside the resort with no warning signs posted. When I reported the incident, the staff acted like it wasn’t their responsibility and refused to take any accountability.For two days, I asked repeatedly to speak with the manager. Every time, I was told he was unavailable, in a meeting, or not on site. I was given the runaround over and over again — no one helped, and no one followed up.To make things worse, they refused to refund the unused nights of my stay, even though I had to cut my trip short due to the injury that occurred on their property. I contacted the front desk, emailed the hotel, and even escalated through Booking.com, but the hotel continued to stall and made up excuses at every turn.This resort might look beautiful, but there is zero professionalism and no guest support when things go wrong. Be cautious — this is not a place that takes safety or customer service seriously.

From the moment you arrive at the hotel, you are treated like VIP! Bell service and a welcome drink! Our suite was breathtaking! The pool was amazing! The staff were very friendly and attentive! The food was top-notch, and there were enough options! Grounds were nice and clean!

That we didn't stay longer. Wish we had spent our whole time here instead of Grand Oasis 1
