Family Selection at Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres - All Inclusive

Beautiful rooms, lovely golf cart and boat drivers, great pools and pristine beach

We couldn’t get a single dinner reservation the whole time we were there even though we were only three people. It was embarrassing for us and for the people who tried to help.

Staff was very friendly. Food in the special restaurants was good. Family selection pool and sunbeds very nice. The whole resort clean and well maintained.

Fantastic food quality and selection, wonderful staff, amazing location and beaches, only 30 mins from the airport, great kids activities, amazing restaurants, great bartenders who are actual mixologists, beautiful facilities including a proper gym, great main pool along with equally great smaller pools, no shortage of chairs/umbrellas, and everything was walkable.

Some inconsistent service, late show times at the theatre, and availability of some restaurants was difficult at times.

The hotel landscaping is very beautiful much more than the online pictures. We loved the Buffett with lots of variety. The beach was nice and clean but you don’t get the sense of ecstatic location since there are no palm trees l, just a clean white sand beach. We had windy days so couldn’t enjoy the sea a lot. With family selection we had an entrance to the adult only TRS hotel which is really nice with a great pool. The steak house and Italian restaurants were really good.

The check in process was absolutely terrible. The room was dirty when we got it and never clean well during our stay and for this reason we will not return to the hotel. The bath had mold stains and the toilet always smelled of pee. It feels like the outdoors landscaping is really nice but the room material is cheap and dated. The Japanese restaurant was terrible, do not go there. The family selection guests have a butler which was very helpful but unfortunately every time we needed to get assistance outside the butler working hours no one ever answered the reception which made the stay frustrating because the family selection hotel is far from the main lobby. The pool in the family selection area is super small full of little kids and the main pool is too far. They should have made the pool bigger or have the next membership pool available to guests as well. It felt crowded and many time we couldn’t find any seats by the pool. The check in area of the family selection looks very dated and unwelcoming and took longer than the regular check in lobby because of shortage in stuff

Room was clean, had a great gym ?️‍♂️ facility, no complaints on the food from anyone in the family.

The resort was large and most activities required you to stand at a type of "bus stop" where you had to wait for transportation to take you to shows, dinners, etc and sometimes the wait was quick and sometimes it took quite a bit of time standing around in the heat. Their phone application didn't always show the correct dinner reservation availability. Make sure to contact your building butler because most likely they can get you into a restaurant.

While most staff was great some waiters attended much better guest who they thought would leave a bigger tip. Also the golf carts sometimes took forever and some drivers wouldn’t even stop for you.

Staff was super helpful and kind. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Food was very decent for most of it, with special points for Italian and Japanese restaurants. Lots of activities for all! Most of all, being in the family selection, we had access to all three parts of the resort!!

The « Black and White » section for kids/teens was useless as most machines/games were non functional. Thai and Indian restaurants were sub standard (didn’t taste much or cold food)

They have a ton of things to do and lots of restaurants to visit. It will take a while to walk around the resort but its really nice and the walks are all very relaxing. The Rafael Nadal academy is super cool, definitely recommend for tennis fans.

The later in the day it gets, the less you see the cars that take you around the resort. So if you're tired, you will either wait a long time or have to walk. The food was average in all of the buffet restaurants.

The facilities were amazing as well as the Family Selection staff, including Joca and Ami of the kids club and the concierges Jennifer and Josue. Our Junior Suite exceeded our expectations with the decor, level of comfort and style. Our room included a Nespresso that was refiled everyday, we received complementary merchandize for our two kids and room service was great.

The downside was the food. We found the quality and taste low for such a luxury hotel. The food at the Xtra Time Sports Bar was particularly bad, greasy and tasteless. The drinks were not great either and had a limited selection of beers and alcohol brands.

The pools were all good. The beach area was nice. The room was clean. The hotel conveniently offers covid testing so we didn't have to leave the property prior to going to the airport for flights back to the US. The grounds are pretty.

The food wasn't very good at all. It was fine for kids (chicken nuggets, french fries, etc.), but it was pretty lackluster for anyone with even a marginally developed palette. I've stayed in less expensive all-inclusive resorts in Mexico with far better food. The butlers constantly got our requests wrong. They also added us to multiple WhatsApp groups (as in, groups for other families), which was strange. If other families' information was being shared with me, who was my information being shared with?

Everthing was fine, ecxept one important issue we had on reception when arrived, it spoiled all our holidays and gave us a lot of stress. The rest is really greate, spa is the best spa we ever experiensed, food was ok, staff in rhe restaurants are frendly.

We (family with 2 children 18 and 3 ears old) booked family suit of 98 m2 with 2 floors and all inclusive option via booking.com, but when we arrived from other part of the world on reseption we were told that we cant get our room before we pay aditionally almost 50% on top of our booking. We have traveled all over the world, but never ever experiensed such disgraced welcome from reception desk. We had to pay additionally for 3 ears old child almost 2000 dollars! If we would not ! then they would simply throw us out withot any refound! And it is during COVID time, when all other hotels around were half empty and we could stay in Ritz Carlton for the same price. First reaction were just to leave, forget abou money and find another hotel. Only our 12 hours flight and sleeping child stoped us. We started to fight and screem that we want to go to our room we booked and it suddenly helped - guy on reception got a bit scared and offerded us to pay 1200 dollars for the child aditionally to the fixed via booking price and to get a key. So in 10 min of terrible stress price went down almost 2 times. We paid it and next 3 days just tried to understand why hotel which offers FAMYLY SUITS of 98 m2 all inclusive offers it just for 3 people max? Why family of 3 would need it any way? Half of holidays were just gone becouse of stress were given to us.
