Pros +
- The hotel ambiance is absolutely beautiful, and the staff throughout the property were genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. The food quality was good overall.
- On a beautiful beach with cushy daybeds. Big and comfortable room. Loved the outdoors shower. Good food and nice design. We went during the week and it was quiet and relaxing.
- Beautiful beach but poor value
Cons -
- - A few notable issues:On the night of 12/28, there was very heavy rain, and when we woke up the next morning there were roof leaks in three different areas of our room, which was disappointing given the caliber of the property and the nightly rate.- The biggest issue, however, was the wristband system for the on-property parties; There were multiple parties held on the property over several consecutive nights, including the New Year’s Eve party. Even as hotel guests, we were not allowed to use credit cards at the bars. Instead, we were required to preload money onto a wristband each night at a separate station and then use only that wristband to order drinks.- What was most frustrating:1. The wristband had to be reloaded every single night.2. Any unused balance could not carry over, even when parties were held back-to-back at the same venue on the property.3. The remaining balance was not refundable.4. Unused funds were simply kept by the hotel each night.5. At checkout, we were told to return the wristbands or be charged a $150 replacement fee per band. We had already thrown them away and were asked to retrieve them from the trash can in our room to avoid the charge.I understand that with multi-day parties the hotel is trying to prevent wristbands from being shared, but demanding wristbands when you are checking out creates a very poor final impression — especially for guests who chose to stay onsite for the convenience of enjoying the events. Being required to preload money nightly that is then forfeited if unused, combined with demanding the wristbands back at checkout, felt unnecessarily punitive.
- A bit far from the main area where most the restaurants are.The personnel was very kind and cordial but not very efficient. They gave us the wrong closing time to visit the ruins which was a bummer. The spa prices were very steep
- They wanted to charge me to open my own bottle of tequila that I brought to the beach because they consider it a “restaurant”. Honestly insulting that I am spending $1500 a day and I can’t enjoy a special tequila on the beach of my hotel. Killed the vibe.

Great Jungle feeling on the beachFine big room with plunge pool
Shower was not protected too much from neighbors
LocationOcean and beach
ServiceRooms were moldy and uncomfortable Food not as good as beforeNo management Run down property
The ocean Location
The service besides RogerThe food had gone down in quality The beds were hardThe rooms were dark and very moldy
I loved everything and I know this might sound weird but not having a tv, stereo or a clock in the rooms made everything better no news to be stressed about just a very calming feeling and solitude and no kids THE BEST VACATION EVER
the only way it could have been better is if you never let me leave I could have lived at the Be Tulum for the rest of my life
Overall it was nice. The ambience was amazing. However at the end upon checking out at the reception, they almost charged us of consuming multiple beverages from the fridge in our previous room ( we switched rooms). We never took anything from the fridge during our entire stay. It’s either the cleaning people consumed the beverages or they just sneakily put it in your tab just to see if you noticed the charged. Luckily we checked the bill. If we didn’t they would’ve charged us for something we never took. So check the bill always.

Pros: Convenient location. Excellent and aesthetic facilities. Bicycles available at no extra cost. Spacious room with ocean view, outside terrace, and rooftop plunge pool. A/C was working greatly. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Friendly and attentive staff--Javier (front desk), Javier (beach bar), and Christian and July (guest services) were particularly exceptional. Food and drinks (from Maresias, as we didn't try Ocumare) were great. The beach area was clean and smooth (compared to other areas of Tulum where the beach is rocky and rough), with excellent DJ/music. Despite some similarities, we liked it better than its sister hotel, Nomade (where we went for lunch one day).
Cons: We were unable to check in before 4:30pm. Prices were a bit steep (as is most of Tulum).
Beautiful place, great staff, excellent service... special mentions to Raquel, our concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and Ivan at the beach club was awesome!
My jungle suite didn't have a balcony as it was highlighted when booked. Pools at the beach club should have a water heater so guests may enjoy them. They were always empty because the water was too cold.
Everything, staff, food, room, beach
Did not know how to turn off plunge pool at night
Aesthetic was incredible Location was perfect. Very close to shops and low key food spots, 4 min drive to more nightlife scene Staff was incredibly attentive Beach setting was perfect Food om property was some of the best we had
Booked a private rooftop pool suite only to find we were overlooking (and hearing noisy) construction directly next to us - understand this type of thing is unavoidable but disappointing nonetheless It's quite expensive and while the suites can easily accommodate 3-4 people they charge extra for any occupants beyond 2
Amazing location and great stuff.
The room. Big but not confortable the bathroom not enough light and terrible smell.
Beach and breakfast
Sheets were not changed at all full 5 days they started to smell The animal raccoon on top of the roof in the bedroom walking very uncomfortable felling though it would end up in the room
breakfast was really good, except it is included but they want you to pay the waitresses every day and wont let you go if not
Beautiful experience Good service delicious and healthy food, amazing team. Thank you for everything we will be there so
Beautiful property and comfortable, uniquely designed rooms. The restaurant had great food and a nice beach club.
The Closeness to the beach. The service at the beach restaurant and on the beach. The food was great. Music also great.
Room lights too dark. Room constantly full of sand. That system with the bowl outside of the door doesn’t work. Lobby & front restaurant really dated. Which left us with one restaurant. Some strategic planting would really make outdoor showers private. Pools outside rooms dangerous to enter, freezing cold water, not private. Certain pool types (rimless) flow over the wall into areas where the water just sits and attracts a million mosquitoes. Which then make it into the room. Need to get that water moving or use smoke bombs. Sargrasso was obviously a problem
İt was so relax and bohemian. Pool in our room was clean so the room
Since the weather is so hot and humid there suppose to be a refrigirator in the room bu there wasnt
Overall the stay was good, good location and nice hotel. Good restaurant food
However the room was not what I booked and was not on the ocean (which i paid $1k for especially for being on the ocean) they gave me a room veery far back from the beach, and was told the room i booked was not in service. Secondly, the spa was fully booked out, another reason i booked was for the spa facilities. And lastly, since i left i have been trying to get an invoice for my stay and it has taken over 1-month to receive this invoice (still not received it)
