Pros +
- Beautiful, interesting and historic. Close to the Zocalo and the breathtaking cathedral.
- generous breakfast, location great!
- The staff went over and above to serve us. Every one of them was immediately there, from the night watchman Ivor, to Karina at the front desk, to the breakfast waiters Luis, Alejandro, and Francisco. The included breakfast was delicious, they even held my special bag of groceries in their fridge for me and made my protein shakes for me without question each morning. The hotel is extremely elegant, with no expense spared in the renovations - it has a gorgeous colonial feel with Louis XVth provincial appeal. We spoke to the owners as they were socializing in one of the areas with visiting family. They took the time to tell us about the history of this grand home, and about the stages of renovations. Should you need meeting space, on the top floor is a great room for business or private events. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, again with a french provincial feel to it but with all modern amenities. We highly recommend Marques Del Angel hotel - the location is so close to the Zocalo, safe neighborhood, lots of great restaurants nearby. They are also connected to a tour company and can help you with your tour tickets. It's a must stay place while in Puebla
Cons -
- The room was a bit stuffy and there is no outside window, so the only way to ventilate is to leave the door open. However, the hotel is friendly and safe so that wasn’t a big deal. Also, it’s very old and gives a bit of a haunted vibe.
- They need to include a place mat in the shower for security. To offer decaff coffee & to close their Bar later . On Sunday they closed at 7:30pm
- No heat in rooms. Breakfast was freezing since in patio and had to ask for heat to be turned on in late December.

Quiet back room in first floor. Big rooms for family of 4 . We had a suite so kids in separate rooms. Staff works had and tries to please
No heat in rooms. Breakfast was freezing since in patio and had to ask for heat to be turned on in late December.
The staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel.
The floor and bed were very squeaky
Charming little hotel near the Zocalo. Breakfast included. I loved the inlaid wood floor of my room.
Very nice breakfast area. We also liked the little bar they had. Very friendly staff. The room was very spacious. All in all a very good experience.
The whole process to use the parking is a bit complicated and weird. Make sure you don't park inside the parking when you arrive, but rather in front of the hotel. We didn't, so we had to pay an extra hour for what we were also charged afterwards with the discounted hotel price (as I said, complicated). It was not very clear how much was the charge, until we were asked to pay, which was much more than what we had understood (still less than if we had not used the parking through the hotel).
Quiet and close to the Zocalo. The staff’s willingness to help.
Not enough hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. The shower head need cleaning or replaced.
Beautiful old building with bedrooms perfectly modernised. Really convenient for the zocla and activities. Al thought very close to the centre it was very quiet.
Wish I could have stayed longer.
quiet street, great location, spacious room, lovely interior designs, and the breakfast was good value
no complaints other than the wifi going out at one point for a short amount of time
The interior design and the staff was very nice.
Our room didn’t have windows.
Easy walking distance ato the zocolo, excellent staff from reception, to restaurant servers, with a shout out to Gerardo (Jerry), the concierge who was amazing! Quiet room. A reasonably priced and secure parking lot is directly across the street from the hotel.
The glass panes in the door to our room allowed light into the room, but there were no other windows, so overhead (and dim) lighting was needed to see during the day.
Lovely decoration and service all around.
The TV playing music during brunch was too loud.
Great location, very nice & helpful staff, big room with comfy beds. All good :)
Would have been nice to have a USB direct outlet.
A very beautiful place with an amazing patio where breakfast is served. The room and bathroom were very spacious and beautifully furnished. The patio is decorated with antique furniture and lots of plants - amazing! The staff was super kind and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for the area.
The rooms right above the patio are not super quiet, but once we found the double door, it was totally fine.

Nice comfortable room.
Coffee in morning was late and terrible. They locked me out of my room prior to check-out time on check-out day.
Absolutely beautiful room with high ceilings and antique furniture. Even 2 balconies. You feel like living in a palace! Location is great too, you are right in the center, but in a quiet part. Comfortable beds, modern shower. Personell is very helpful.
everything was perfect!
Water problems for 3 of the 4 days but the staff were very accommodating
