- This is a charming, very unique small hotel with a wonderful staff. It’s filled with a wide variety of antiques & artifacts. The quiet location is a convenient 5 minute walk to the historic plaza. Highly recommend
- I'm a 60+ professional woman traveling alone. I felt very safe here and the location was perfect. Most importantly, the staff and the hotel were both absolutely charming and delightful! The small heater in the room was an added bonus to take the morning chill out of the air. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cons -
- Note: the hotel no elevator so it may not be well suited for travelers who are unable to carry their bags up the stairs.
- The history of the place
- It's a very old building so it's hard to add modern conveniences but bedside lamps and outlets would be helpful.

Friendly staff super clean and the ambience is amazing
The history of the place
The staff was incredible, wow! They were so nice and friendly and helpful, I really was keen on writing a review, to thank them for their service! Also the hotel is super interesting! The room was clean, nice beds, comfortable shower, free parking, at the border of the historical center. It was quiet (it lays in front of the lucha libre arena, so maybe a bit more noise on Saturday). We had the room with the terrazza so we could enjoy the sunrises/sunsets and views of the volcanos. Would definitely come back. Also breakfast is delicious! And a lot!
Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Great location.

This hotel is charming. It’s full of antiques. The style of my room included antique locks on the enormous wooden doors, crystal chandeliers and old art hanging on the walls. Breakfast was included and I received a What’sApp message asking for me to select my dish. Breakfast included: 2 types of pastries, yogurt and granola, fruit tray, coffee, and the entre. It was delicious. Finally the staff was welcoming and supremely helpful. I will stay here again.
It’s a 1700 historic building with great charm and centrally located in front of Arena Puebla, less than 10 min walk to city center close to mom and pop restaurants, oxxo, panaderias. Has a terrace with great views.
Can’t think of anything negative.
Absolutely loved the decor. Although it is in some ways like an antique museum, it is also surprisingly modern in other ways and very comfortable. All the staff were super friendly and couldn't have been more helpful
Lovely stay in this old convent. Room was tea spacious and clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! Highly recommend
Incredible hotel, from start to finish. We needed moto parking and they fit in the entranceway where they were very safe (thank you!). Our room was on the top floor and even had a bath and bottles of bubble bath. Wifi was excellent, breakfast was too! From the top floor you can see the steaming volcano. We were sad to leave.
Muy bien! Super friendly stuff and service. The communication feels warm and personal. We really feel welcome. The room was clean and quiet with everything you need. Big shower and bathroom included. The atmosphere in this old building is special and nice to feel, the hotel is build around this atmosphere to preserve it well.
The house is very nice, charmingly restored and decorated in colonial style. So was our room.
Our room was on the street side. It was very noisy, and it was also very hot. The portable air conditioner supplied was not effective.
Location of the property is perfect and within walking distance to Puebla city center. The property and rooms are beautifully decorated, and the staff is so friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Very unique rooms, very comfortable and lots of space. The staff were really lovely too.
You have to walk through the restaurant to get in and out and it was always dead but maybe that was just the nights I stayed
The property is an old 17th century house filled with antiques and even a small chapel. It was a fantastic find for visiting Zócalo. Even the room keys seem original and took some practice to get right. The staff was exceptional and were the most accommodating of any place I've ever stayed. I thought it was fantastic value at essentially $75USD/night in February.
I didn't notice air conditioning in my room (thought I remembered seeing it as a listed feature) and the older doors don't seal in the frame so the room likely gets warm in the hot season (May-July). However, it was perfect weather during my mid-Feb stay!
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and awesome. The property is beautiful and historic, with interesting antique and hand forged locks on windows and doors. Marianne and Christiana arranged for Carlos to take us on a wonderful day tour to visit the pyramid in Cholula and interesting churches we never imagined. He also recommended a nice place for lunch —-all was delicious and reasonably priced. Carlos’ tour was super reasonable, so tip him well! Christiana was forthcoming with special requests at night, including mine for hot milk. Marianne helped us with getting our heavy luggage up the steps to our room. Both were always available to us whenever we returned to the hotel or were on our way out. It’s important to tip them, too!
I am reluctant to say that there was anything I didn’t like, since the hotel was a perfect choice for us, but, they do need to have removable drain covers for the sink and bathtub as is customary in high end hotels and modest Airbnbs alike.
Great location and quirky decorations. Liked the rooftop patio.
Shower and toilet placed inside the room.
Wonderful decor and ambience, excellent breakfast and great service from the friendly staff.
Everything! The staff are so gentle, our room was rally niceBreakfast was amazing!!!
Very special, comfortable, deco is orginal and special
