- Great colonial hotel with big sleeping room. Two swimming pools!
- The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean every day
Cons -
- Very difficult to print airline boarding passes. Front desk was unable to do so. They referred us to their business room with a computer and printer. Took several staff to get the computer to work. After boarding passes were printed, they did not work
- Location of hotel too far away from center.
- There was no restaurant available for quick access to meals

Great colonial hotel with big sleeping room. Two swimming pools!
Location of hotel too far away from center.

It’s a really charming hotel with a wonderful pool, rooms are spacious and it’s like a tropical paradise inside
Location is not the best. On a busy road and small pavement
A beautiful well maintained property with lots of charm. The room at the ground floor was too dark for us and the staff immediately agreed to move us to another room on the first floor. The room was entirely furnished with wicker art craft with an amazing “monkey cabinet”… the staff was nice and responsive. The pool was clean. It felt like we were the only clients and it felt strange to have this big colonial style house all for us…
The restaurant next door is closed during the week and there is no bar open or any service -With us being the only (or very few) clients, the entire hotel had a strange “empty” atmosphere…
The staff is great. Very kind and always willing to serve. The food is excellent.
The Wifi service is an opportunity area.
Location and size of the room
The hotel did not serve meals except for the weekends.
The Casa Azul is very much within walking distance of the attractions in Cuernavaca's centro. It is also a beautiful hacienda, laid out in traditional style around courtyards and lush greenery. And two pools. The staff were very responsive to our requests. One drawback is a lack of things you might expect on a breakfast menu, such as fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. The breakfast overall was a disappointment and we wouldn't recommend it, despite the delightful setting. Also, the bar wasn't open at convenient hours, such as the end of a touring afternoon, when a margarita or something similar would have been very welcome. Overall, though, there is much to recommend at Casa Azul. The Mexican decor in our room was spectacular.
The grounds are beautiful
The rooms need updating. Newer beds and bedding. The pool was dirty during our week stay
Casa Azul was an oasis in the city. It immediately felt welcoming & peaceful and the courtyard was so incredibly gorgeous! The breakfast was one of the tastiest meals we had all trip! The staff were so welcoming & helpful. Overall, this was just a fantastic stay.
No real complaints. It was a great visit. The only challenge was getting directions to & from the bus station - directions provided sent us to the wrong bus station. Thankfully everyone in town was very friendly & we got new directions!
Room, grounds, staff were all great
There is no breakfast, some days the restaurant was open, others not. All times you pay, nothing comes with the room, not even coffee. If you order a croissant you get half of one. Half a croissant, who does that? Also the entrance is on a side street that is virtually empty and quite dark after sunset. We had no problems but vulnerable travellers, women travelling alone might feel a bit insecure. But overall good. They could do a bit more without much cost or effort to make it great.
The outside spaces were very nice. The room was good (although we had to ask for a room with a double bed)
Poor information about breakfast-very poor. We never got any breakfast. We stayed from Tuesday evening to Friday morning and were only informed that breakfast was available on the premises on Friday morning as we were leaving. It just so happened that another group (4 people ?) had checked in the evening before so it appeared to me that the hotel did not think it worth catering for breakfast with only 2 people (ourselves) in the hotel. Extremely disappointing and very poor service. In fairness however the cleaning staff were obliging and helpful.
That has a lot of green areas
The rooms have too much decoration, leaving tiny space tu put things, and the bathroom was uncomfortable, the sink area was really small
It is a very nice and comfortable hotel
The food is not good and the chairs in the pool are very old and the cover is torn.
The staff wan nice. Location is convenient.
Needs a renovation of furniture in the open spaces. There were holes and dirt that doesn’t go with a 5 star. Also - food needs to be revised and worked on.
Tastefully furnished and big room. Pretty pool area. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast.
Very uncomfortable patio chairs in the restaurant. I forgot my toothpaste and there wasn’t any available to purchase or as curtesy.
Lush, peaceful and beautiful
Restaurant closes at 5:00pm. Might have something to do with the time of year.Bathtub side was pretty high which made it a little precarious for people in their seventies. There was a sturdy stool but I didn’t feel safe using it.
the check in was very smooth and fast and the receptionist even checked us in at 11 am so my son could take his nap before we head out visiting the city. the terrace and the lobby had a very pleasant atmosphere. I could enjoy reading a book as my son and my husband used the pool.
the only point I could mention would be the unnecessary amount of armchair/sofa in our room. however, it was only due to having a toddler in the room. otherwise everything was excellent.
The outside areas for relaxing, the great location.
The restaurant was hardly ever open. The air conditioner was extremely noisy, although effective.
Could have been a lot...
The hotel has seen better days. Towels have holes in them and the place seems run down. Staff nit overly helpful and booked dinner for us at a restaurant that was closed. Also no on site restaurant on Monday.
