Maja Hotel Boutique

This hotel is unique and so beautiful! Carolina provided outstanding service from the front desk. We were offered complimentary beverages upon check in, and our bags were brought to our room. The pool and grounds are gorgeous. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, service attentive and food is fabulous.

The place is very good, liking .

The TVs did not work properly. And one of them did not work at all. The drapes where falling off there rall.

The view of Morelia is incredible!

Found the staff to be rigid and unresponsive. The beauty of high end hotels is how they attempt to cater to their clients whims making them feel special and pampered, beyond simply offering lodging. Maja’s staff is more inclined to make your stay ordinary without striving for excellence. There are better choices in the historic center where one is truly spoiled.

Every detail, the staff was amazing and kind, the food was great, the view was incredible!

The walls seemed pretty thin and I could hear my neighbors down the hall. It wasn’t too late at night, but still a disturbance.

Food and drinks were amazing. The stay was impressive overall. Very comfortable beds and amazing rooms. The pool and views are extraordinary and the service is excellent. This was 5 stars, no doubt.

There was a wedding in the premises during our stay. We were not notified until we actually left the pool (half an hour before the wedding started right there)

We stayed in Room 1 at Maja Hotel Boutique and couldn't have been more pleased. Initially I had reservations about staying so far away from the centro historico (downtown) of Morelia, but I'm really glad we did. The downtown/centro is just 7-8 minutes away by car or Uber, and you can easily pop down for dinner or a tour and pop back up to the hotel.Maja offers a beautiful, hacienda-like respite from the bustle of busy colonial Morelia, while being close enough to act as a jump off point for any activities in the region. The views are absolutely stunning and you can see the fireworks from the churches and cathedrals of Morelia every evening. The food at the restaurant was delicious, regional, and organic/natural with international touches. The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful added touch and came with fresh fruit, a choice of a main entree, and a house baked pastry (both options were delicious!)When we got there they also gave us a welcome drink, amazing touch. It felt like there was plenty of staff who were always friendly and available, but not overbearing. Room service was prompt and well-served each time, and every staff member was extremely gracious.Our room itself was incredible. We had an entire dressing room and a bathroom that could've fit a small team. All of the decor and books were authentic and well-chosen. And you just could not beat the views.I could not recommend Maja more, you'll love it!

The first day the pool was a little chilly but I believe they warmed it up after.

Exceptional

They advertise to have a 24 hrs GAP for a room to be occupied again due to COVID, which is a big plus . But that did not happen in my case

I loved the different options at breakfast and that it was not tourist themed. The breakfast options were local dishes and all tasted delicious! The presentation of the food was beautiful! It exceed our expectations and was glad that they were able to accommodate our requests. The location was perfect! The views were stunning and beyond what we expected. You are able to see the cathedral at night & during the day. The pool water was warm (which was not expected per other reviews). They brought the pool towels out to us while at the pool. Dinner was delicious! While the portions were a bit small for the price, the flavor was spectacular! The drinks were well prepared and tasty. Only wish there were options for wine glass options as opposed to buying the whole bottle. Erik was an excellent waiter and accommodating to all our needs during dinner/breakfast. All other staff was also wonderful and made us feel at home. Would recommend Maja Boutique 10/10!!

As mentioned above, only thing I would change is the portion size of dinner entrees. Staff was very attentive to our needs & even had a welcoming drink upon arrival.
