Pros +

  • The location was close to family and the event location we were in town for, but this hotel was not good. The breakfast was good but hard to enjoy after not sleeping well in discomfort.
  • We stayed here the night before our accent of Nevada de Toluca. It was a good option close to the Volcano. There was food close by. I would stay here again. Nice people

Cons -

  • We arrived to our 1st floor room with the smell of sewer gas. Reception gave us the wrong wifi password and our cell phones had no service in the room. We attempted to call the front desk using the phone in the room and it either didn't work or the front desk never answered. We tried to take a shower and noticed there was no hot water. We went to the front desk to explain this and we're moved to a different room with 2 smaller beds on the 3rd floor facing the street. The hallways were completely dark so we had to use our phones to find a light switch to find our room. The new room also did not have hot water so I had to shower with cold water which was horrible. The beds were very small and my feet were not even supported on the bed that was very hard and uncomfortable. The sheets also seemed very old and somewhat scratchy. The traffic in front of the hotel is very loud and busy even at night and there were often dogs barking around the hotel. It was nearly impossible to sleep and we ended our stay short after only 1 night and booked a different hotel. It was a horrible experience on my spouse's birthday. When checking out, I requested a refund for the remaining nights and the hotel said I had to go through booking.com for the refund even though I paid the hotel directly with my credit card. I submitted a request through booking.com to change the dates of my reservation to only the night we stayed and the hotel never responded to the request. I am still waiting for a refund and if the hotel never responds, I have opened a dispute with my credit card company. You should avoid this hotel.
