Hotel Solar de las Animas

Beautiful hotel with rooftop pool & bar overlooking the town. Hotel is right on the square with several distilleries, restaurants and bars just steps away.

I liked the proximity to the airport and the indoor parking which was very convenient in this rainy night.

Our one night stay was not a good experience. Our sleep was interrupted by a leak in the bathroom ceiling which caused a flood and a lot of noice. The hotel staff was prompt to move us to another room, but didn¿t even offer a discount or a free meal.

Second stay. Awesome place with awesome restaurant.

Pricey.

Right in the Town Square, beautiful grounds, Robes and slippers put by your bed at night. The in room coffee maker has an espresso setting, very good coffee (small charge) super comfy beds, on site secure parking- etc!

A lot of concrete, so the outside noise carries.

Restaurant food was delicious

Everything is close walking distance I feel I¿m in the heart of tequila

The food was average food.

Exceptional hotel!

Put the complimentary coffee pods in the room and not the rigmarole of requesting it with a box in the middle of the night.

Several requests were not met which is fine but not 5 star worthy.

One of my favorite hotels. We stay there often on our way to Puerto Valletta.

The hotel needs to install some grab bars in the male public restrooms and a few rooms. Currently, only one female public restroom has a grab bar. The combination of low profile toilets and no grab bars makes for a very difficult situation for older folks. I won't return to the hotel until they assure me that some action has been taken.

Gorgeous! No complaints about the property. Absolutely stunning.

There was NOTHING OPEN from the moment I drove into the town, walked over 1/2 hour around hunting for dinner and a beverage. It was just after 11 PM and not one thing in that town was open except the hotel lobby, where I was allegedly to stay. The properties amazing, it’s just that a town like tequila should have something open past 11:30 PM. I traveled all day and I was starving and really just wanted a tequila or three to calm my nerves from driving in Mexico when I’m not used to driving in Mexico or especially at night.

Location near the plaza or square was excellent

Don't stay near the swimming pool on the first floor because on the weekends they have fabulous weddings and it's pretty loud at night and won't be able to sleep.The Hotel really is beautiful ?

Breakfast was fine. They had large variety of food.

The staff’s attitude could have been more welcoming, and the room had a strong musty smell, suggesting possible mold or humidity issues. Pool noise.

This hotel is beautiful, with friendly professional staff, delicious food, and the perfect location in the city.

I liked everything!

This is a great hotel. A rooftop pool with a bar, a ground floor pool with no one in it. The room was large and very comfortable with nightly turn-down service. A free shoe shine during your stay (who does that)? The staff were friendly and kind.

There wasn’t anything that I did not like about this hotel.

Nothing it was perfect!

The hotel is located perfectly in the city center, basically across various distilleries. The room is ample and the view is great.

The shower head wasn't working properly, but it wasn't such a big issue

The property is beautiful super clean and staff all spoke great English and were very attentive.

Honestly the only thing it was super expensive.

This property is phenomenal. Steps away from the main square, excellent service, comfortable rooms. The rooms are not the boring new and modern type of hotel rooms. This has so much charm and I loved every second of our stay!
