Hotel Mayto

The staff was helped and addressed the many problems we had with our rooom.

We had no hotwater until late in the evening of our night stay. When we arrived the cleaning solution used was so strong we couldn't go into our for a few hours, it was like they weren't expecting us and we didn't get the two bed roooms we booked.

Tranquility. Location. Food. Drink. Views. Absolutely everything

No electric outlet in bathroom

Had everything we needed, beautiful beach and view from the room, good selection in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, well maintained.

The room was not very soundproof from outside noise, but it was not a concern for us.

Our room was excellent the bed was comfortable and it had a fully stocked mini fridge it made it very convenient. Sitting on the patio in the morning and evening was so beautiful. The restaurant was awesome so many choices and all very tasty and lots you can share. The drinks were great as well. Enjoyed the pool!

The only thing that was a little annoying was the night lights that kept the room as bright as the day time in our room. The windows need to have a black out film put in them to help cut down on the day time effect in the room when it’s time to sleep.

Like the location and the coffee in the morning. Reception doesn't speak any English.

Beautiful location. Wonderful staff. Miles of empty beach. Nice pool.

No hot water.

It was about hour outside of El Tuito. Mayto town itself was very small. Small bodegas so stock up in El Tuito. A few places to eat near by. Food at the restaurant was pretty good. Not many vegetables to be found if you are trying to eat healthy.Beach was amazing. Pool was great. Not heated but refreshing. Rooms were large and shower was large but no hot water. Water was not cold but below room temps for sure. We managed. Bed was comfy. AC was great. The staff was very nice.We brought board games and the had no problem letting us hang out at the restaurant to play.We rented quads on the beach. So fun. We had a great time. We would go back.

Parking could have been more plentiful but not sure how as they used up as much space as they could.The second building was a bit of a hike from the beach with many stairs. Book bottom floor if not into climbing more stairs. Neighbours could be noisy. Bring earplugs for sleeping. Not every night but it did happen.Shower did not get hot. Get to the pool or beach early if you want a lounge chair. Beach is not swimmable. Fridge is a bar fridge. They stock it well and prices aren't bad but you have to remove all the stuff if you want to put your own stuff in. It would be nice to have a choice if you want it empty or stocked. We took a video of the fridge, then removed everything and then filled it again when we left.

Incredible location, gorgeous empty beaches, total relaxation! Staff build our own fire after dinner to stare at a star studded sky.

The food was mediocre. Overcooked fish, lackluster sides. We loved the fruit and ceviches!

The beach is beautiful, rooms were clean; Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower was huge and waterfall shower head. The food at their restaurant was good. Nice pool, very clean. Staff were accommodating and very friendly. We had to ask for a few things for the room ( water glasses, hand towel) but we had a quick response from the staff each time. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff were nice but very young so perhaps not as able to look after things like running toilets or slow shower drains.

Beautiful property and beach. We had a huge balcony. I think it was room 5. A very large double room. Food was surprisingly reasonable.

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would have liked to see group services. Example would be gathering for guests on beach for a dinner and bonfire. Also, easy access to fishing equipment and guides for area. All and all, It was relaxing and we had the best week!

Simplify TV, terrace had some issues that need to be addressed regarding safety, and the screen kept coming off track. Loose faucet leaked a bit, just tightening would help that.

Better food service and more to choose from

Beautiful beach. We had a fantastic room with a huge patio. I was really surprised by how reasonable the restaurant was.

We stayed during the Christmas pre-season lull. While everything was available, the staff generous and helpful, it would be unfair to comment on operational efficacy

Excellent food and location

Service was a little lax at times. No hot water for showers.

Love the location and the restaurant had an expanded menu.

The rooms need some serious updates.

Hotel Mayto has a terrific location on a pristine beach about 2 1/2 hours drive south of Puerto Vallarta. The beautiful golden tan sand beach is about 150 feet wide from the hotel's loungers to the water and stretches for miles along this part of the central Mexican Pacific coast. The hotel registration staff was very accommodating with some last-minute room switching between my wife and I with another couple travelling with us. The four different breakfast choices we enjoyed at the hotel restaurant were all delicious.

Our ocean-front room in the hotel's original building and some outdoor amenities need a little maintenance work. The screen door in our sliding glass door was off its track and impossible to operate due to the upper track having broken away from the wall. Although the AC was operating, it was unresponsive to any adjustment with the remote control. We could not get any hot water from the sink faucet, but the shower did have hot water. Most of the pool and beach loungers had broken arm rests but all bottom and seat-back canvas was intact.
