    • Location and hotel were great! It was like an oasis amid the activity of Taxco- We had balconies off our rooms overlooking the pool that had lovely views of the town. Since the town is on the hill, it was a lovely view to the church, and the pool area had palm trees and landscaping with live peacocks. I felt it was more beautiful than the pictures showed. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed in size with beautiful iron doorways/ big windows to the balcony. It felt like I was in Mexico and not some corporate hotel. The breakfast/restaurant was on the roof top with great views, and a relaxed vibe. Staff were lovely, and pool was a great place to lounge in hot afternoon.
    • Absolutely fantastic location in the center of Taxco but also easy enough to drive to with good parking facilities. Great views from the room and included was a lovely continental breakfast on the rooftop.
    • Beautiful building with peacocks and dogs to greet us. The photos don't do it justice. Great location perfect to explore taxco.

    Cons -

    • While it was kept very clean- the bed, especially sheets/bedspreads seemed a bit older- that was the only real negative... but since so much of this hotel was exceptional in it's authentic vibe, location, views and pool that for me it was not really an issue
    • Bed was uncomfortable
    • The bathroom door would not close, and the shower did not drain properly.

Very good place and great location.

The bathroom door would not close, and the shower did not drain properly.

We had a beautiful balcony over looking the gardens. The location was exceptional and breakfast is served on the top terrace overlooking the city.

Because the door is translucent, The hall light sensor kept coming on whenever we turned over in bed or moved toward the door. I’d also like to see attention to detail: shampoo, conditioner and nice soaps, also an oscillating fan that didn’t squeak. Also we had ants in our room.

This hotel is absolutely great. Super friendly staff, stunning rooms, great swimming pool and overall a feel good and relaxed atmosphere.

The room included a very basic breakfast with one toast, jam, tea/coffee and a small muffin (which we appreciated) . If you want something extra you have to pay for it. I ordered 2 fried eggs and was charged 136 pesos, which is for Mexican standard really expensive for 2 eggs. The buffet breakfast was 180 pesos. Apart from that, everything was fantastic!

    View, swimming pool, terrace, location

Plumbing smell at night, the included continental breakfast left much to be desired.

The location, it is just avout 8 minutes away from Santa Prisca's church walking. The rooftop's food is awesome. The pool is very nice and the garden is beautiful.

Customer service is awful, 2 of the 3 people that work at the front desk are on the verge of being rude, they don't help you at all! I had to ask them for their promotions (they have a QR code with them right there) they didn't even tried to help me be more comfortable at their own hotel. There is no air conditioner, just a floor fan. There is no place to put our bags or clothes, the closet is so close to the bed that we couldn't open the doors. The shower was partially clogged. There is no elevator and the room is ground level and the restaurant is on the 5th floor, all stairs!

    Second night a little better

Location was on point. Close to everything. Breakfast was OK not a lot of options.

Staff was ok . Not very friendly . I didn't like the idea that I have to leave the keys of my car. I dint make sense to me.

Good location with parking. LOts of charm. Parking available.

Rules for guests at the pool are not enforced, thus loud music and people drinking till late. Made it hard to sleep. I would stay again. it could have been an off night.

    The view was very good.

The receptionist wasn't fair. During our stay two times some tried to open our room door and when we mentioned it to the receptionist, she just said that maybe it was some body that confused the room. They have some peacocks In the garden, they are too noisy and it was not possible to sleep well. It was very hot inside the room and there was no air condition at all.

Place was incredible. Beautiful views from our giant room. Great pool. Amazing location. Taxco is amazing and you really get the full experience here. The place straddles the hills and you have impressive views and can exit from the top. Couldn't be happier with the stay. And the breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing. Rarely do I pay for that but omg it was SO worth it.

No ac, could get hot in the summer but the place is well designed and actually had a fan so it was no problem at all.

I stayed for 1 night at Posada San Javier with my 17yo twins. We all loved the place: The colonial building, the beautiful peacocks walking around the gardens, the roof top restaurant and the amazing views, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a swimming pool that my sons wanted to use but it was cold (January 2025) and we hadn't brought bathers. My sons asked why we didn't stay longer in Taxco! (And I thought they wouldn't like a small town).

The location is great. If you book a room with a view You would be able to see the Prisca church and the surrounding areas in the hills.Just an old building with charm. The building has a pool and you can see their peacocks free around the garden.

The bathroom smell like shit literally and all the drainage holes don’t suck the water off. We have to close them off with toilet paper to avoid the awful smell coming from them The hot water doesn’t run for a long time. The beds are very uncomfortable they’ve join 2 beds to make a bigger one and the linen is from the last century including sheets and covers,They look and feel disgusting. The property does not have any internal lift so get ready to carry your luggage up from a stone staircase. This place is not for elderly person and is not disabled accessible. Get ready to not be able to sleep as you will be hearing the church bells every hour of the day including night time. We were unable to sleep and rest due to the noise.

They gave us an excellent room. We could see the cathedral view outside of our room, which is our private space. So the view was all ours!

Only thing you have to be careful about is their complementary breakfast. You have to stick to their continental breakfast. Otherwise you will be charged a lot. We made a mistake, but the stuff was understanding.

Beautiful hotel, really close to the center and the central plaza. Great view from the restaurant. The pool area is gorgeous, the pool looked clean, and we did not swim. There is a peacock and the garden is really peaceful.

The isolation is absolutely terrible! We stayed on a Saturday evening and I was barely able to get some sleep. Our room was located just under the restaurant with street access, between people walking in the hotel, cars, and street noise, it was an absolute nightmare!
