    Pros +

    • good location and close to transportation.
    • The location was exceptional. Stunning views! Easy walk to the center (locado). Nice restaurant where we had breakfast.

    Cons -

    • no refrigerator.
    • The first room we were given didn’t have A/C. It did have a tower fan which we used. Hot water was in short supply and i lost water in the middle of my shower. Also, there was mold in the shower. The WiFi kept going in and out. We were moved to a better room with was nice. No hair dryer in the room. They may have supplied one but we didn’t ask. Looks like they are in the process of updating the rooms. The front desk helped us with transportation back to the Mexico City Airport which was very helpful since Uber does not operate in Taxco.
    • Noisy neighbourhood, restaurant next door had a party until 3am. It’s Mexico!

Clean with excellent areas to relax, terrace view and food is great

    Receptionist was not very friendly

Great room layout. We used the table and chairs every day with coffee in the morning, a game mid day, and drinks in the evening because it had a great view out the window. The attached photos are of the restaurant upstairs at breakfast and the view out the window of our room.

The room smelled of mildew. But, to be fair, we asked to switch rooms to be in that room because we had stayed in it before and really liked the layout. We smelled the mildew right away but chose to stay, and it did dissipate with the windows opened. They may not have put any one in the room because of the smell.

Breakfast at the rooftop is the best part with stunning views of the mountains and the city with the background of cliffs . Breakfast was great - one of the best Chilaquiles I had here .

Our room didn’t have any views , no AC in the room

It was centrally located within walking distance to the Zócalo. A lot of shops, bars and eateries around . It was very close to the weekend tianguis. My room had a balcony with an amazing view of the city.

Like the location of the area, you are pretty much smack dab in the middle of town. The hot water was hot. Great views for breakfast.

I didn't like the knob in the shower falling off, asked staff to fix, they didnt. the shower getting clogged on the first use. Staff fixed this issue. Wifi was non existent. Room was outdated, sofa in room was dirty. If I could I would have spent the money and found a better place to stay.

Location - comfort - restaurant- staff

The included breakfast should serve pastry instead of pieces of toast and include juice

Great views, comfortable bed, lots of space, fridge, helpful staff, good restaurant on site, good location.

The toilet seat was rusted and loose and I almost fell off a few times; the hot water faucet in the shower was also loose, it fell off once and barely missed my toes. I needed to ask for a fan, but the staff brought me one.

OMG the VIEW!!!!! We had an amazing view of Taxco from our room! The location, the restaurant, the staff, it was definitely and experience to be had!!!

Well the bed is a bit firm to say the least, however most places while traveling in Mexico have had extremely firm beds. That's the only thing that I can even think would be an issue here.

Just spent two lovely nights in Taxco. The hotel was very cute, clean and comfortable. We had a junior suite and requested a view, which they were kindly able to accommodate. The views from our small balcony were incredible. The pool area was great and the restaurant at the hotel was excellent. A basic continental breakfast was included, but we opted to order additional dishes off the menu. The refrijoladas and sopes were both delicious. It is not a few minutes from the Zocalo, but the city is steep and hilly, so be prepared for that with sensible shoes. The service was friendly and helpful. It was also a perfect location for the Saturday silver Markey as if I’d equidistant from the bus station and main square/cathedral.

Everything was great. The wifi was a little slow, but that was true in most of Taxco.

    Location and restaurant!

A little construction noise from property next door.

    8EdwardPosted on: 10-27-2024

    Location and firm bed.

The barking dogs, very late night neighbourhood voices & music plus an unusual repetative thumping noise.

    8REVAPosted on: 10-8-2024

The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have microwave in the room. The location was great, close to zocalo. The staff were very friendly.

My husband said he could hear the conversations from the next room. The pressure of the shower was hard to control.

    Location. Rom view. Restaurant.

Front desk staff had one clerk that was not so friendly. Rooms were a little “tired”. Bathroom was suboptimal.

    9MordechaiPosted on: 8-25-2024

It is in a convenient location (400m to the main square, the Zocalo). The view from both the room and the restaurant terrace is great. The room was large and cozy.

The bathroom could be upgraded; there was no AC, but an air cooler fan (was enough, but still). The pool is modest (just for a quick deep, not for swimming). Othe than that, great hotel!

The hotel is excellently located very near the main church. It is decorated with nice objects of art. The beds are comfortable.

It takes a long time for the water in the shower to get warm

    10SilviaPosted on: 6-25-2024

The rooms are super clean! The bed was very comfortable and inviting. The location is great within walking distance to the Zocalo, parking is included. The restaurant is very nice, the food quality/presentation and the service were great.

Smoking shouldn’t be allowed inside the premises... My room smelled like cigarettes when I arrived… :( I had to leave the balcony glass door open for a few hrs., by then the smell was gone.

The location was perfect. Right next to the market and 8 minute walk from the zocolo. We had room 104. A few stairs to walk but no problem. The view was incredible. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool was a bonus. Great service all round. The attached restaurant was amazing. I had the mole tamarinds ribs. Really top class food and again, the view was awesome.Having a fridge was super convenient.

If I had to say anything, it would be that the room can get warm but it was summer. The fan was a little weak on power but you can leave open the patio screen doors. Not a complaint. Just a suggestion. The breakfast included was ordinary. One day in was toasted bread and jam and the next day in was re heated pre toasted bread from those packets you see in Latin America. Free breakfast is free breakfast. It just didn't match the quality of every other detail in the hotel.
