    Pros +

    • Great location in a jungle setting very different from the rest of Palenque. Easy walk from the bus station.
    • Everything was perfect, i would recommend it to everyone
    • Great location and friendly staff. The pool is an added bonus - wonderful on a hot day.

    Cons -

    • Road behind the hotel can be a bit noisy. Restaurant food was adequate but uninspiring. Pretty standard Mexican fare. Others nearby were better.
    • Our room was on the main floor and had a dungeon feel about it. Maybe a higher floor is better.
    • The staff for the most part were unfriendly.Coffee should have been included. The on-site restaurant is overpriced. I didn’t even get a smile when paying for overpriced coffee, and I’m friendly. When we asked water the desk acted like we were asking them to donate an organ. They over-quoted cab fare to train and we got it cheaper on our own.

A free coronita or jamaica on arrival was very nice. The location in La Cañada is spectacular. The restaurant next door (Maya Cañada) is one of the best restaurants on our 2 week tour of Chiapas and the Yucatán Peninsula. The room was comfortable with plenty of hot water and good air conditioning and a small patio. The trees and greenery on the property are really nice. The hotel has quite a bit of information for tours and things to do in the area. The hotel is walking distance to downtown and the area feels very safe. There was parking in front of the hotel, and it felt so safe I didn’t even move the car to the parking on site.

Most of the staff weren’t particularly warm, but this is the norm in Palenque. The jacuzzi isn’t heated and very cold.

Restaurants were easily within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the neighborhood was quiet.

I would suggest for the hotel to invest in something to have water available for people to fill up water bottles. We had to walk to a store to purchase large bottles of water, which was not very eco-friendly. The hotel was doing work on the pool during the day for two of the three days we were there. It would have been. Ice to use the pool on those extremely hot days. However, the pool was available in the evening hours.

Great location, easy walk to restaurants including great on-site restaurant. Lovely vibe, helpful staff.

Small standard hotel room, but fine really.

Excellent location for visiting. Palenque Ruins. The hotel is nicely designed with a small pool. My room was huge, comfortable and dry clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

During our trip to Chiapas we stayed at three hotels. This was far an away the most luxurious of the set. Well appointed and next to several great restaurants. Also great laundry service.

Great location, close to all amenities, including the archaeological ruins, restaurants and the ADO coach station. Room was large. The hotel has its own restaurant, which provided a good breakfast option.

We booked a King room with a balcony, which should have had a "garden view, pool view or landmark view." In reality, we were given a room with a small side balcony overlooking the hallway and another room. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked and so no other rooms available. This was very disappointing. There was a bit of noise from the restaurant below and a bar close by. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so a bit of a struggle with cases. The hotel is a bit tired and the staff were inconsistent, some being friendly and helpful and some not so much.

    8LauriePosted on: 2-3-2025

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It was nice to have a little balcony with table and chairs where we could eat breakfast in the morning. The hotel is within walking distance to the center of town as well as to the market, the bus station and the colectivos we took to the Palenque ruins and Roberto Barrios waterfalls.

The Wifi was a little spotty in our room and the lighting (overhead light) was a bit stark. There was some noise at night from some local clubs just down the street.

Impeccable service, great staff, wonderful restaurant, clean, comfortable room, very quiet and powerful a/c, very well lit room.

Staff English proficiency is insufficient and alas, English has become the language of tourism and the information highway. Hot water pressure in shower can be improved .
