    Pros +

    • clean, safe, friendly
    • Great value, great location and nice people.
    • Bedding quality, size of room, most of staff helpful ( but reception overwhelmed at times with no backup), parking, easy access to malecon for walking, TV news channels international and 2 in English, ease of location for driving. The quality of workmanship and furnishings, tile work, finishing, beds, and bedding are very good, very well done. Hallways have nice carpeting for less noise from guests arriving or deporting.

    Cons -

    • not realy
    • Too many things.Bar closed for remodeling, ice machine not working, Cafe can't serve drinks, elevators out of service, reception can be VERY SLOW.The real problem there is hwy noise, poor window quality, motorcycles being the worst noise. And this was mid week. View: hmm. From the 3rd floor, with balcony ( no seating at all) one can see the ocean, yes, behind the large ( and good) seafood restaurant across the hwy, plus the 2 large parking areas for malecon access. Below the 3rd floor, your view would be parking lots, hwy, and large restaurant. There is really no sea activity except small fishing launches early AM.Room. Big windows but gauze curtains with heavier material strip curtains purely for adornment! There are restaurant lights, malecon floodlights, street and parking lights. Downtown Honolulu is quieter and less light than this area, so one is trying to sleep in full light.Take any room on the back side.Elevators are quiet, but some guests were not. One hears quite clearly other guests, TV next door, especially at 3 AM when there was a complete lack of concern for anyone sleeping ( or trying to).I was truly disappointed. We have stayed in Campech many many times over more than 35 years, but we will now go back to the historic center to stay.It is about 2 K from the center, and quality restaurants are lacking around Holiday Inn.Put in heavy full curtains at the very least. It could be a delightful stay, but it is not now.

Location and the beautiful ocean view from our window. Nice balcony.Very nice staff.

A few issues in our room for just a 1 night stay: toilet wouldn’t flush and took a long time to fill ( taken care of after we called down); safe wouldn’t work, just kept saying “error “; coffee pot didn’t work even though it looked new and, yes, I checked to see if it was plugged in.

The staff were beyond exceptional. Everyone was so helpful and went out of their way to meet our needs.

The water was tepid, at best. It's very hard to take a shower in lukewarm water. Also, the shower curtain wasn't adequate. If you weren't careful, water would leak out into the room. Other than that, it was a really nice hotel.

    Poor

The hotel had a wedding Sunday night and the music was so loud we couldn't sleep, they did refund 50% of that night. The shower head was blocked and water only can out of the massage section of the head. The hand basin was half blocked and it took various minutes for the water to disappear leaving an obvious dirty mess in the sink. The hot water was only tepid at best

Nice view of the ocean. Free parking in back. Not far from the main tourist area of Campeche.

This will be our second post complaining about Mexicans not being able to keep their kids quiet. They had the world cup Peewee championship and the place was packed with children and families, playing soccer in the lobby, running in the hallways, and the usual boisterousness you would expect from children of all ages. Going up and down in the elevators etc. It's a Holiday inn. They have a reputation to maintain and they failed in that regard by not shutting these kids down and letting them run loose. We love Mexico. We love Campeche. Again no matter how much money we pay, we can't get any peace and quiet. We know it's the holidays. But we will never stay there again because they couldn't keep the kids quiet.

Party going on until 3am under the room. Had to move rooms. I paid Booking. Com for what I thought was 3 nights, but on arrival was told I had only paid for one night. I eventually had to pay over 6000 pesos. You can imagine I'm not happy with this.

they don’t respect my reservations they told me my phone numbers was wrong that’s why they sold my reservations pretty bad I will never come back to your application booking and the hotel

    Did not eat in restaurant.

Water temperature in room was always cold to cool in the evening. My wife asked reception staff about this on several occasions and on one occasion staff members talked about her complaining. Also, our room did not have a mini-fridge in it. This would have been nice since we were there for a week. Towels were very worn and frayed on edges.

    Location and clean place

The bathroom has this faulty toilet that keeps draining water and the manager didn't care my report

    Disappointing

old style, dirty, very basic breakfast

    8RobertPosted on: 3-11-2022

The breakfast offered a lot of choices and made to order omelets. The staff was very attentive to our needs and requests. We did appreciate the large shower in the bathroom and the water pressure was very good. The room was bright and spacious. Loved the gulf view from the window.

There was way too much ham and cheese in the omelet. We were disappointed with the pool which we had to access through the lounge/bar. There were plenty of lounge chair but nothing to shelter us from the hot sun. Adding umbrellas or palapas would help. As for the room, the mattress was a bit too hard and the sheets were thin. The bathroom towels were of poor quality. During our afternoon siesta, noises of renovation work in a nearby room could be heard.

    T. The staff were great. They may want to use a place holder for a menu at the restaurant entrance... the buffet changed. But the regular menu didn't appear to. A plate de jour would be a good idea.

Loud music from across the street. They should upgrade the balcony doors the wind howling us an issue. Beds are getting worn out. Bath towels same. Elevatorswere an issue.. a few days with only 1 working and 1 night we had to climb up the stairs.

    7AlexandraPosted on: 11-4-2021

Staff was helpful and friendly. Very clean. We were able to get a crib in the room for the baby.

Pool was too cold for us to use and a bit awkward to access (have to walk through the bar).

Not a bad location if you want to stay at a quiet part of Campeche

So surprised that the restaurant in the hotel charged us 115 pesos for our 3 yrs old breakfast which he only ate a few bites of pancake out of my plate. When we asked the staff about Kids Eat Free hotel's policy, the staff told us that we had to order from the kid's menu only. We didn't know that because our breakfast buffet for adults was included with the room!!!

    7ZigaPosted on: 8-8-2021

It was a nice hotel, with a nice look over the sea. Even though it was located outside the centre, you can easily walk (30 min) to the centre.

Air conditioning was very loud (it has three options, but all are very loud and too strong to be on throughout the night). Also it was very noisy in the night (probably some machines working 24/7).Breakfast was not worth the price, we had it for the first morning, but then it was cheaper and better to go eat somewhere outside. Also the staff can improve their english. The towels should be changed as they had visible marks of use (still some stains on it). These are only my considerations, it was still a nice stay - except for the air conditioning. If you need silence to sleep then it is not ok.

I was surprised to learn that our IHG rewards are invalid if we bood thru BOOKING.COM which was disappointing as I am a valued IHG member with certain, nevertheless the staff responsible of our Check In was rude and impolite highlighting that because I used BOOKING.COM i was not entitled to even use my card!! And by the wasy the shower was terrible!!
