Location in the centre of Campeche, breakfast was good
outdated hotel and far from 5 star. Had no atmosphere. Over priced and needs a full make over.
Hotel is beautiful but over priced and a little tired. Staff were outstanding and very accommodating it’s really expensive for what it is
Nothing to do in Campeche
Great location on the main Street. We stayed in the master room which was beautiful - nicely decorated and very large. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good as well, they were happy to adapt things to be vegan. Oh and nice quiet (albeit) small swimming pool to relax in. We stayed an extra day because we liked the town and hotel so much.
Nothing really. At a push I’d mention that as it is on the Main Street it could be a bit loud outside but with the air con going (which is needed in the heat!), we couldn’t hear much and it did not affect our sleep at all.
spacious room in a beautiful historic Spanish Colonial building
A few misquotes
It’s a very quaint hotel and very old building with period features and decor. The hotel has great location near the food district and historic parts of the city. The food was good, however they only serve breakfast. Staff were very helpful.
The decor is too old and could do with some updating, poor WiFi
Beautifully appointed- many intimate areas to relax, chat or just contemplate your surroundings throughout the hotel. Also nicest bathroom and best shower ever!
Nothing!
Charming property in an old house, spacious rooms. Newly renovated bathroom, good breakfast.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing that could justify a price of 250 US$ for this dark and humid just average hotel room. I expected a wonderful hotel, it is the most expesive in Campeche, and was deeply dissapointed. Beds were the poorest on our journey. The hotel is located at the busiest street in the historic center. Definitely never again.
The comfort of the room. The Personnel attitude. The breakfast was excellent. The location is just great.
the attention of the staff was very good. we had an infant child and they were able to find allwe needed.
The staff were friendly and nice, and the place was central
The hotel needs a good refurbishment. My stay was not great - the lights went out for 1 night and 1 day, the water was full of rust and the A/C did not work (and made lots of noises)The staff tried their best to help, but they couldn't do much.A pity, but it was not a great stay
Amazing looking hotel, makes you feel like royalty.Huge rooms, high ceilings. Colonial style furniture. Nice internal patio that feels like the extension of the rooms.
The room was noisy until very late at night (we got a room facing the street). breakfast - nothing to write home about (far from on par with the hotel).
Casa Don Gustavo is a nice hotel, with interesting decoration and nice & comfortable rooms. Stepping back in time, centrally located in Campeche.
The experience was ruined by a nightmare breakfast, good for food poisoning had we eaten it. Probably due to low season (no turnaround of foodstuffs in the kitchen), but then the hotel should abstain from offering it. The hotel staff serving the food did hardly apologize for the bad experience, which is a shame because the hotel in itself can only be recommended and the front desk staff should feel insulted by the lack of quality of their kitchen / restaurant colleagues.
Very friendly and helpful staffHelped me to organize taxis and excursion Perfect breakfast
Beautiful hotel, spacious and comfortable room, great location.
Beautiful old mansion with quality furniture Nice welcome by the reception staffSpacious room, ours (standard suite) was not on the pedestrian street but on the first floor onto the inside patio, which is quiet.Excellent location in the city center.
Great location by the zocolo and faces a pedestrian zone filled with restaurants offering outside tables. Bed was very comfortable, room was roomy and the small pool was perfect. Staff was welcoming and very helpful.
Oddly, no hot water in shower. Expensive.
Nice personal, good breakfast, quiet even in the middel of town. Nice pool, small but no problem for us.
Would be nice with a possibility to make coffe or tea in the room
