Ventana Bay Resort

Where do I start. The upper lounge over looking the ocean was the best. The room was amazing. Ocean views. Endless beach. Quiet. Everything we are looking for in a vacation. New Years dinner was wonderful and the breakfasts were fantastic.

For two dinners the Chef was understaffed and inexperienced. He was friendly and I'm sure in time he well get much better.

The staff was so great, they helped us set up a tour nearby and were always around if we needed them but it kinda felt like our own place. We were looking for a relaxed place to chill and do our own thing and they nailed it.

All of the guests were kite-surfers, we didn't know it was such a kite-surf locale, it did not effect our experience, just not our typical scene.

I love La Ventana Bay Resort!!! I am going back every year since 2018 and I will keep going back

Wonderful management, great breakfast, right on the beach! Best kitesurfing or Winging school Jet Ski assisted.

The fact that it was right on the beach was the best thing

The rooms are very very basic for what they are charging.The rooms are dated and dingy no plugin in the washroom . No hair dryer. Not the cleanest either.Room service came and did the beds but one day they did a decent job the next the did not even stretch the sheets. Bathroom sink was also randomly cleaned some days and some not even though they came and serviced the room.Anyhow I just think that for what they are charging it is Not worth it.

We had the beach for ourselves, it was a clean beach, the room was clean. The staff was very friendly.

The hotel itself was as described. The room was nice. The breakfast was good but I don’t understand why in Mexico I am charged in dollars.

The first night we had several cucarachas in our room. I cough 4 and it’s needless to say that we didn’t sleep particularly well. Nelly gave us a different room the next day right away without any discussion but we still got some negative attitude from the staff. The second thing that was disappointing was the beach. This is not a fault of the hotel, it’s just that it may be a great place for kite surfing during the winter season but it’s not a beach to enjoy for swimming in summer when we were there. It’s full of stones all along the beach.

Location right on a beautiful isolated beach.Charming buildings and garden.Very nice bathroom.

No one to help with the luggage despite the stairs and the distance from the car park.Kayak, boarding, bicycle, all come at a cost.Breakfast ok but too expensive and slow.Sideboard drawers falling.Room too small.The "plus" exceeds the "minus", I'd return there.

They were responsive and helpful and the breakfast was really good! The rooms were nice and the view was incredible. I enjoyed it!

We loved the laid-back vibe! The location was perfect. It was off by itself, but it was also close to everything!

Having to get out and open and then close the gate every time we came or went became a hassle.

Beautiful & tranquil property, situated with easy access to La Ventana’s most beautiful beach. Views are also amazing. The staff were excellent and made us feel at home and were always there to help us (even came to rescue us by jump-starting car battery). What more can you ask for?

Great property. Nelly even saw me walking down the road and stopped to give me a lift. Tony was also exceptionally nice. Always remembered our names even!

Nely was always taking care of us and gave us great recommendations for activities and organizing everything for a wonderful stay. The breakfast is amazing. There is a kitesurfing school that is part of the hotel and my husband was very happy with the trainers. The rooms are clean and cozy our view to the ocean was incredible. We were there at the end of the last year and the 31st December and we enjoyed the starry sky is the most wonderful sky that I have seen.We were feeling at home

Brilliant! each unit is independent cottage style, overlooking the stunning Ventana bay with glorious sunsets every day. Kitchen is only open for breakfast on request - it seems we were there in a slower season.

The only down side is that it is a couple miles of dirt road to actually get to the location - potholes and great amounts of dust have to be navigated any time you come and go from the Lodge.

Just steps to the beach, this cultivated desert paradise has beautiful architecture and stunning ocean views. The beautiful gardens and artistic touches throughout added to the natural beauty of the location. Our hostess, Nelly, was like the warmth of the sun, readily available with resources and her generous spirit.

Our bungalow was beautiful. Spacious and secluded.

We specifically stayed there so we could have an oceanfront room. I booked it a few months in advance but was told it was not available when we arrived. Room we received was very nice but way up from the beach. No pool and beach too windy for swimming or SUP even in the morning. It was a long walk from food and the restaurant only served breakfast.

The resort is lovely and cute. All the bungalows are super cozy. The staff are lovely. The breakfasts are great.

There is nothing wrong with the resort and we had a great time. It would be nice if they had more to offer besides breakfast but we knew that going in. A bar with snacks or drinks would have been convenient.

Quiet and nice, private room, very few people around

The beauty of it. We loved that the cabins were private and had their own space. Loved the food we received and everyone was so nice. Having a private beach essentially was also a perk

I wish there were more food options throughout the evening at the resort.

The staff was very accomodating. Loved the views, quiet beach, ,many places to relax.As a kiter I was really happy to have a kiting school at the facility. They were super helpful.
