- Wish I stayed longer! Staff were friendly, spoke English, every place was very clean and the prices for add on services were amazing!!! Can’t say enough about how amazing this place is!
- I love everything about the Manyo Club. I showed up hours before check in but no problem - I could use the public baths all day ! The public bath facilities are beautiful and very well run. The view from the outdoor baths is wonderful. The location is outstanding ! Take a walk outside to the Marine Walkway (Parade), the Cup of noodles park ( and museum), the Red Brick Warehouse and so much more ! The amusement park (Cosmo World) is right across the street. At night you can go out on the roof deck and see all the colorful night time lights while soaking your feet (or not) in the foot bath. Both restaurants have very good food and the Manyo An restaurant has killer views and exceptional sashimi as well as a wide range of excellent Japanese specialties ( lots of eel dishes). I had an oil massage ( included scalp and feet) and it was THE BEST MASSAGE ever ! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal ! The Japanese style room was spotless and cozy. And when I needed help in English, I just asked the front desk and there was always someone who could assist me ! I was able to leave my luggage there securely both before check in and after check out ! Finally, there is a free shuttle that took me back to the Yokohama train station for free. I recommend both staying overnight at the hotel and coming for a day or night visit ( they are open 24 hours) to enjoy the baths and get a massage. The Manyo Club made my stay in Yokohama magical ! Thank you to everyone on the staff there !
- Located in a very comfortable and scenic place of Yokohama, hotel/club offers a complete experience of living in a traditional Japanese room, trying delicious Japanese food and taking a meditative dive in an onsen/public bath, part of which is under open sky! All together at a very affordable price. It definitely helped to stay in a good shape every day during my business trip. Special thanks to the kind staff, which helped me to handle the picking up and shipping back of the extra luggage for the exhibition, help which was beyond their typical duty.
Cons -
- NOTHING!
- I have booked my stay through booking.com and was unable to contact (get a response from) the hotel/club through the platform, neither find a working email. Also could not find a printer in the registration desk to print some documents. However, as soon as I entered the hotel/club, I realized it is not a typical hotel and such facilities should not be expected from it (perhaps that is why it is called a club).
- There were cockroaches trying to eat my food at the breakfast buffet. We told the staff and they offered to move us, but I was really disappointed that a place like this has a roach infestation.

Great location、different kind of massage to choose from, love the onsen and sauna
I liked the relaxation rooms and different onsen available.
There were cockroaches trying to eat my food at the breakfast buffet. We told the staff and they offered to move us, but I was really disappointed that a place like this has a roach infestation.
I love that I had the time to relax and enjoy the facilities (Onsen bath and many more) while waiting for our time to check in, I love that you don't feel the need to go out after a long travel, it is best that we chose this hotel to stay in on our first night. It is beside Nissin Noodle Museum and just across the street is a mall, it's a good location, we paid 500 yen to pay taxi from the bus station then 1300 yen to pick us up going to the train station.
It was clean and close to my conference. Staff was friendly.
It was nothing like a conventional hotel. It was primarily a traditional Japanese community spa/public bath that happens to have some rooms. Access in and out of the building is controlled and awkward. No shoes allowed past the lobby. Two separate elevator systems - one for lobby to rooms and one for lobby to outside and parking. Limited English speaking staff and no English signs made it difficult to figure out how to function, find and access the room initially, and there was no explanation of the exit process. It took three days to get some sort of instruction. I would not stay here again. Be aware this is not a typical international hotel experience.
It's quite an experience to be in a ryokan for a foreigner, and I mean this in a semi-good way. Literally (for me, I hope) one-of-a-time experience. The onsens are very nice.
Not enough information when you make the reservation, only some hints from some reviews. The experience is as follows: From the lobby you need to take an elevator to the 7th floor. You check in at the beginning of your trip to get a card and a locker key. You then need to take of your shoes and carry them in a bag so long you are inside (but you do get to keep your shoes with you). You walk barefoot on a wooden floor (and tatami mats in the elevator and rooms). You then take an elevator to your room which will be on some other floor. It seems that there are rooms with normal beds, but you might perhaps get a "traditional" room with only tatami mats and futon mattresses. Might not be for everyone. Also, the rooms have bathrooms - but not showers. You shower in a communal shower on the 7th floor (which is expected, as this is a ryokan). Also might not be for everyone. When you want to leave the "hotel" (for example, when you want to eat outside, or experience the beautiful city of Yokohama), you need to go back to the 7th floor (don't forget your bag with shoes!), then go to the counter, explain that you want to leave (but not check out!), and return you key and card. You then get a barcode and number tag. You use the barcode to leave the counter, and keep the number tag for when you return. You may now put on your shoes and take the elevator back down to ground floor. When you want to return to your room: go once again to the 7th floor, skip the counter and hand the staff back your number tag, which will grant you your card and key. Don't forget to take off your shoes, and descend to your room. The process of check-in, check-out takes about 15 minutes combined, which is a very mild annoyance (but still an annoyance). Also the staff barely speaks English, which might present some difficulties. And the payment is cash only.
Very convenient location – there is a direct bus from Narita Station almost right to the hotel. The onsen facilities are great and the view from the top is superb. An additional plus is a great variety of food for breakfast.
The need to navigate between the floors to get in and out of the hotel. But I guess it's a trade-off when it comes to staying in this kind of places with onsen open also to day trip visitors.
There is Onsen on the 7th floor. They also have sauna rooms. Very nice hot rock for fee. The bedroom is Japanese traditional Tatami. My daughter really like. The package include beers+beans for dinner and free breakfast (they have sushi and Oysters for breakfast).Very good value. They gave you sleep gown as well
Location is great. It is just a 10minute walk from the train station to the club
The breakfast is a rip off. You have to pay for almost everything- milk, juice, salad. You need to checkout if you have to go out. This is a place more for you if you decided to stay with them and not going out.
Room was small but the view was good . Air conditioning worked efficiently. Good to have onsen in a place close to Tokyo. We enjoyed massage late at night, after having fun for the whole day. Staff were polite and many of them speak good English.
The tatami was thin and unless you like very firm bed the sleep was not comfortable.
Came here for the baths which were wonderful. Hotel is set up like a typical Japanese Inn. Waterfront with the World Porters shopping centre across the road. Shuttle bus from Yokohama station.
Room is small but adequate. Not much in English but good wifi to be able to use Google translate.
Absolutely nothing
Everything:First, no shoes, Second very hot elevators2 elevators necessary to get to roomNaked bath, absolutely disgusting Incompetent staff, not able to speak any language besides japanese, not even chineseBad foodSmall dirty rooms Loud, I don't know where to stop, it was just horrible
Breakfast buffet was included in the booking and really great. Rooms were neat, very quiet surrounding. English signs partially available and English-speaking staff could be found when needed. If you want to try an onsen, you have a good chance there.
This hotel is really more of a spa than an actual hotel. Do book if you want to stay for a short time and relax in the onsen, book some massages etc. Do not book if you are traveling for other purposes and need to quickly get in and out of your room regularly, the checkin/checkout procedures can be quite cumbersome. Also the equipment was more tailored towards wellness, no cloth irons/proper desks/etc. are available. So this hotel is perfect - if you use it following its purpose. The air conditioning is very loud and has to be turned off during the night for sleeping.Double-check before booking if you can stay there in case you have more than 2 small tattoos, the entrance signs clearly defined that you cannot use the spa with larger tattoos.
Fantastic onsen facilities; great that guests could use fresh yukata at all times, and really nice restaurant.
It could have been nice if the staff could speak a bit more English.
I like a home live environment and the best location in Yokohama.
A bit complication with get in and get out process.
This place is more of a resort than a hotel. It's best if you intend to spend time in it relaxing and using the features offered. If you just need a place to sleep or to offload luggage, a cheaper hotel suffices. There's a lot of hot springs, relaxation areas, and an arcade. The relaxation areas consists of rows of reclining chairs with individual TVs, and one area has a library of comics. There is extra cost for stuff like meals, drinks, massages, etc; you scan the wristband they give you and then pay it when checking out, or the day after if staying multiple nights. There's a nice view of the bay area as well as the neighboring amusement park and ferris wheel.
The bathroom smelled of smoke. Smoking isn't allowed on the premises but I think someone was secretly smoking in there. I had to leave the ventilation on constantly but it cleared out in a day.
once we adapted to the Japanese spa experience .. ie separate communal bathing and spa it was wonderful. the treatments are excellent and we completely relaxed . the futon beds were a shock but we soon adapted
good very nice to relax
i love to stay and onsen
