Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel

The location is great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I speak minimal Japanese, but they were still able to assist me when I needed. It is also close to public transport, restaurants and parks.

Close to the station and Prince Pepe

The room gets too warm sometimes in the afternoon.

- Very convenient location. Limo bus from airport stops directly at the hotel (1,000 yen/person)- Connected to Prince Pepe mall for shopping and food. Also very close to Cubic Plaza which has a variety of restaurants. McDonald's around the corner and Shin Yokohama subway station. There is also a Don Quijote about a 10 min walk away.- We had a room on the 25th floor and could see Mt. Fuji. Great views- Tub in bathroom was spacious, hot water and good shower pressure- Amenities like toothbrushes, comb, q-tips are provided. Also robes and slippers- 24 hr 7-11 convenience store right next to the elevators. Had great snacks and food- There are coin washers and dryers on the 2nd floor

- The room was quite small, but that's the norm for Tokyo and surrounding areas- Central air conditioning, unable to adjust room temperature. We were there during December so it was quite cold. Could not heat the room since central temp was set at a lower temperature than our room was. We just turned it off, but it got a bit cold at times.

I really loved the view of Mount Fuji from my room, the convenient transportation options, and the easy access to shopping and restaurants. Of course, the friendly service from the hotel staff was also excellent.

The location across from the Shinkasen station was excellent and the room was comfortable, although it was a bit tight for two adults and a child. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the attached shopping mall made the stay very convenient.

Not as many restaurants within walking distance as I would have liked, but it was easy taking the subway a couple of stops for more choices.

Location, closest hotel to Yokoari.

I paid for an upper floor and the soundproofing was poor. Could hear people in hall, people in other rooms, the trains on the tracks 37 floors below. The rooms are very small for the price I paid compared to other hotels in the area. The bathroom was very dated and small, felt like I was on a cruise ship. This felt more like a 3 star hotel room. No lift for upper floors so often a long wait for lifts and stopping and many floors. The staff were amazing but it’s a very big and busy hotel. There is no lounge area or any welcome drinks common at many hotels, and the lobby felt like a bus station because it’s so busy and only has conference chairs lined up rather than anything that felt very nice. The staff were so helpful and kind when I did ask for a few things - an iron and ironing board was brought to my room on request (I prefer these in the room tho tbh and there was almost no space for this). I had sent my luggage to the hotel though and I had to collect it myself. Most hotels of this price point would have brought to my room. I would only stay here again if I got a good deal, otherwise other hotels in the area are better value. Hopefully they will renovate seriously.

Location is fantastic and very convenient for Shin Yokohama station. There is ample shopping and stores nearby to pick up food, gifts, and general groceries.

The room itself is past its prime with outdated furniture and an old toilet. The rooms do not have convenient outlets near the bedside table etc. The circular format of the building makes the individual rooms awkward because the rooms also aren't square, leading to odd layouts where there is no way to sit and watch TV from a straight angle, and the bathtub is not straight so you can't stretch out in a straight line; you have to oddly bend your body to fit the curve of the bathtub.

Bed was comfortable, nice buffet breakfast.

Location only good if you are taking the Shinkansen.

Great location. If arriving from Haneda there’s direct bus although not operate too often. Also had a 711 downstair next to the lobby. Also breakfast is amazing.

In the past the comb and etc is provided in a small room at the lobby but not this time. Please list it clearer so we would know what can we ask from the reception. Also breakfast is amazing but sometimes a bit difficult to have it to catch a morning flight. So maybe you could provide some simple packed on for people who left super early.

Location was very convenient for taking the Shinkansen. Also, the direct bus to Haneda airport stops right in front of the hotel, no reservation required, and costs just 1000 JPY. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall with large grocery store and there are several places to eat very nearby.

Beautiful hotel with clean and spacious rooms! The buffet breakfast was really wonderful with lots of options and freshly cooked food!

The hotel had a comforting presence upon arrival. It was a busy hotel, however the staff were accommodating & helpful.I booked this hotel last minute, so was only able to get the smoking room, which was unpleasant, however they tried their best to deodorise & clean as much as possible.They had a 7eleven at the lobby, which was great!

The rooms were small & we struggled with our suitcases in there. Some complimentary tea or coffee would've been appreciated.

The rooms were very small. No room to put your bags or clothes..

The hotel staff's service is generally excellent, except for the fact that they are short-staffed. We got carts and moved luggage ourselves. The elevators are smooth and quick. An app can operate the coin-operated laundry. The clothes washer provides detergent. All the machines have countdown timers, so you can leave and return when the cycle is complete. Response time is short for requests for extra towels and such. Good water flow and plenty of hot water for showers and a bath. It is on the route for the airport limousine bus service.

The hotel was built in 1992. The bathroom is a built-in unit which you have to step up to enter. There is no way to adjust temperature in the room below the ambient. There is only heating in the winter. The hotel does provide a humidifier upon request, which we used constantly. The refrigerator in the room is even smaller than the typical motel-size unit. Wi-Fi speed in the room was like dial-up.

dust under beds caused allergy and AC temperature was not functional.
