Wigram Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff.Ample parking and we found the breakfast to be super!We wouldn't mind staying there again.

One needs a car to go to Churchtown centre and it is located in a very quiet neighbourhood.

From the staff at Wigram, to the beautifully appointed rooms and bathrooms, to the cozy restaurant and the historic feel

Staff extremely nice and supportive.

Room was small and with the added chair no place to put a suitcase. We had two but only one rack in the room.

Booked 2 rooms , must be nearby instead of one on ground floor other on 1st floor

Excellent big breakfast and coffee. Bed very comfortable. Large room by most standards. Very good shower and bathroom - heated floor was a winner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to Airforce Museum.

Great hotel, handy to the bus stop ( 100 bus which connects with the airport via 125 bus ). Walking distance from Wigram museum. Hornby hub shopping about 2.5km away ( so walking distance ? ). Room a little on the small side and neighbors plumb can be heard otherwise quiet. Recent refurnished bathroom is very nice with heated floor. The rest of the place is just average and quiet soleless. For me though, it was adequate and close to the places I needed to go.

Great hotel, it is our new go to in Christchurch. Easy parking, great rooms, well located, no negatives.

We chose this hotel because it is not located in the downtown area (would not have wanted to go there by car) and had good value for money. The room was quite spacious. The bathroom was very nice, clean and warm with floor heating (we went there in autumn). Parking space in front of the hotel.

The beds were quite soft (but this is a personal preference). The hotel already looked a bit old all-in-all, but the rooms were fine.

Beautiful new decor, comfortable room. Bed was lovely.

The rest of the building needs work.

Ideal location as close to Wigram Museum which we visited.

Would have liked a chair or couch in our room as we are both in our 70s

Great location, friendly staff, idea for people travelling for work. Food was top class

Bar staff were working with in reception and the bar. You could be a while waiting

The hotel has been renovated from an old Air Force officers mess and living quarters. The history here is amazing. The room my friend and I shared was nice, there were 2 beds separated by a wall with no door so we each had privacy. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was nicely updated and the shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water. The shinning star of this hotel was the restaurant. The meals were amazing and everything we tried was super delicious. We were told that the chef had cooked for royalty in the past and it shows.

For our needs, nothing could have been better.

Nothing to not like

Loved the art deco building it was so interesting and quirky. The room was very comfortable with a lovely strong shower. Just what we needed after a 26hr flight. The location was a 10-15 minute drive into pretty Christchurch. The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and very helpful staff.
