Comfortable and nice setting. And the location is just great - it is very close to a few very nice restaurants. Especially one Thai, which was a lovely surprise.

Parking can be a bit tricky, but you can always find a spot in the nearby street parking - so not bad at all.

I didn’t like the French doors to the parking lot, it lacked a bit of privacy.

Staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice and very historic. It was a great location. The restaurant was good. Nice to have a fitness center, although it was a bit outdated. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and helpful

Room was basic, tidy. Could not fault the service and food was lovely. The restaurant area had a quirky set up but I loved it,

Room had a musty smell, my sheets were crinkled like bed had been slept in and remade. Phone not working so unable to order from room. Hearing people going up and down the stairs, noisy neighbors.

On site restaurant - meal was excellent as was breakfast. Excellent understanding of caeliac needs. Lovely pool area. Superior room lovely.

A motel trying to be a hotel.

It’s a joke. Sauna is old and smelly. Pool and hot tub were occupied by loud teenagers and us right next to the parking lot. It’s a motel trying to be a hotel. Furniture in rooms have stains and seem outdated. Breakfast is boring and simple, you can eat a banana if you look for something healthy.

The room had the heater on for when I arrived early evening, so it was nice and warn and comfortable ready to have a rest after a days travel to Christchurch from Wellington, thank you, that was a nice touch! There was nothing that I did not like.The facilities were great, the check in was easy, the breakfast was yum as always.Recommend Pavilions Hotel to anyone travelling to Christchurch, good location

Outside the main window by the bed was a very bright light that shone on to the bed all night! It would have been good if they went off at midnight - or were a sensor light! Disturbed sleep.

The fitted sheet/blanket thing was not as comfortable as a usual big blanket, and firmer/thicker pillows would be nice. felt slightly dates but very clean!

We liked the proximity to venues. General layout of the rooms along with a very comfortable bed. Nothing to dislike.
