Ferry Motel

Very dirty floors with food from previous guests, stains on the bedding, wash cloth looked used. I talked to staff about the food on the floor, he came in to clean and still the food remained.

Nice place in the middle of the city within close proximity to Airport and supermarkets and fuel stations. Conveniently located with ample parking. But, needs immediate renovation and gardening. Prices are reasonable.

Pillows were too small. Taps hard to turn off .no hand basin in toilet.

Room was a little less than impressive cold lights weren’t working properly and had a funny odour beds were ok but no heating other than two little heaters upstairs and downstairs so was pretty cold for the price thoe its ok but if you plan on spending more time in the room other than sleeping wouldn’t recommend

Didn't stay as it didn't...

The place had poor lighting, there were holes in the walls in the bathroom, we turned the stove on and it was that dirty that it set the smoke alarms off. Small heater to heat the whole place, wasn't very nice. Bugs flying all around the rooms, beds and bedding didn't look very nice, certainly not worth what we paid for. We didn't end up staying and had to find somewhere else for the night. So ended up having to pay for two motels because Ferry Motels were not as they are described on Booking Com

The owner was super friendly and nice. Location was great. Bed was a little small but comfy. The shower was better then it looked.

Was a little rough holes in the wall, bit chilly needed more then one heater, couch was a little dirty. The price was good, just expected a little bit more.

Very clean and tidy. Not much expensive.

Great host, finally human interaction! Not the best location for Christchurch but it's good value for money.

Would be good to have a bathroom door. As there was only a shower curtain and the shower area was very small. There was no place to hang the towel during shower.

They gave us a discount on another room when we added a guest at the last minute, and discounted that further when the TV wouldn't go. It was a very cheap rate, and was suitable for a boys weekend to watch a sports event.

Place is very old,dirty and smells terrible.Everything inside is overused and terrible with holes everywhere.This place needs to close down and renovate.Shame on me take my family there.

3/10 too expensive for what was offered, no sky TV like advertised not kid friendly would say more like a workers accommodation heat pump advertised was a little heater and cord was burning hot so couldnt use it for the night not worth more than $50 a night

Shower pressure is crap

I totally love the housekeeper. She was so nice and extremely helpful

A random came into the complex asking for narcotic's. She was not a guest at the motel. She tried to talk her way into our room. The single bed bases & mattresses need updating as they sag in the middle.

Bad

It was clean. It was very shabby and not in a chic way. Cigarette burns on the table. Couch has previously been used for dogs…you could smell it and I had a major allergy attack.

Very run down, holes in the walls some were badly patched up. The whole place is just old and needs a redo

The price point, although I feel like we could have gotten a much nicer place for a little bit more. The person taking care of the property was very nice and attempted to be helpful. Their laundry was down, so I was just charged a flat rate for her to wash and dry it for me, which was very nice.

We had to ask another guest if that was the motel as there was no name sign at the front, pending renovation hopefully? Our stove had safety issues, but we were able to turn it off. The front desk staff came in to check it out and said that she would report it to the owner. I didn’t exactly feel safe there, so would not stay there again especially if I was travelling by myself. Trust the reviews when booking, do not feel like people are exaggerating or high maintenance.
