Cranford Cottages and Motel

We loved the location as it was a short walk to the fresh choice & little town centre. Also not too long of a bus ride going to & from the city centre. Bus stop is outside property so that was bonus. Our cottage wasn’t too flashy but it was clean & tidy which is a must.

The cottage we stayed in was a bit closer to the main road & as I am a lite sleeper it wasn’t the best sound wise but not horrible. My mum slept like a log so it’s just a me thing.

I was made to feel very welcome when I arrived late in the evening and my unit was clean, comfortable and warm.

Room was large and very clean. Quiet at night and bed as comfortable so had a great sleep. Staff really nice and the free washing machine was a bonus.

It was all great

Chose Cranford Cottages for the location, close to the Medical facilities I was using the next day. Repeat visitor.

The cottage was very cute and cosy, definitely enjoyed having a heat pump and a smart tv, the staff are lovely too. even got a free late checkout which was super awesome!!

unfortunately couldn’t use the spa due to it being out of order but the staff were very apologetic and it honestly didn’t bother me too much as it ended up being quite a rainy weekend

Great communication . Owners were awesome very accommodating and even supplied some feeding bowls for our dog .

The location was perfect for us. We chose to stay here for the location and that it was dog friendly. It suited our needs perfectly for one night. We stayed in Cottage 9 but next time we would choose either 7 or 8 as they were totally enclosed for a dog.

Quiet,cosy, self-contained cottage and allows pets.

Nothing much but the shower head needs replacing.

Like the location for arrival and leaving city. Great to have somewhere to lock up bikes. Friendly owners.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good

Location, central to CBD and shopping centre. Very private setting despite being heavily booked.

A little dated and furniture a bit tired.

The privacy… our deck area was great and being able to have our lil dog with us and know she was safe was awesome. Great lil kitchen and room had everything we needed.

The room needed block out curtains. Carpark lighting kept the room light up when trying to sleep and room wasn’t ever dark. Morning light came in also

Disappointed

The surroundings were not in good shape. A bit neglected gardens. Shower almost over the toilet. Good for budget however I think we over paid for this accommodation.

The scenery had a paradise atmosphere feel. And the private outdoor spa was better than I had expected. Super friendly staff and pet friendly. Couldn’t ask for better.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who responded very quickly to a couple of small requests we had, and were proactive eg in offering to lift the little table from our deck into the sun for me. We loved a quiet and secluded room with a private deck right in the midst of trees and green space. Off street parking meant we felt relaxed about the safety of our vehicle in a great location very central to main routes and easy access from the airport and to the city centre, supermarkets and places of interest. There is also a pleasant child and dog friendly park within 5 minutes walk.

Cranford St is quite a busy road and we will request a unit a little further from the road next time we visit.
