Alpha Motel with Spa-Bath

The front desk staff was helpful when we arrived. They kindly informed they had upgraded us to a deluxe suite which seemed thoughtful. There is a small kitchenette which would be handy for people who wanted to make small meals.

The beds and pillows were so incredibly uncomfortable that we ended up booking another accommodation for one night just so we could sleep. My husband tried sleeping on the extra bed which was worse. The mattresses need to be replaced.There are no facilities on site, not even a soda machine, so you have to go somewhere if you want to get drinks or snacks. The nearest shop is a car ride away and because the motel is on one side of a divided road it means you have a long round trip to make. Also the beds were never made during our stay. We definitely didn’t expect or want clean sheets every day, but they didn’t even make up the beds, which means the sheets were all trailing over the floor. The problem with this is the carpets are stained and filthy, and the unit has ants. Mostly in the bathroom (which were mostly dead but never got cleared away) but we did find a few strays in the unit as well. They did replace all of our towels every day, even though we followed the instructions to hang them up to reuse them.

Very accommodating, location was perfect. We had a large group in Christchurch for a sports event. The spas in the bathrooms was exactly what we needed for a long day of sports.

Can you please fix the bathroom door. It is definitely need to be fix. I couldn't close the bathroom door. I end up close the blind in the dinning room so Noone can see me using the restroom. I like my private space. I didn't know you do breakfast meal. Until few day later I found it in my junk email. There was 1 staff available? Is there supposed to be a staff in the office all day. Just in case anyone need any assistance etc.

Bed qas comfy and room warm

Office wasn't open, so I couldn't get into the laundry, which was locked at 3.30 pm on a Wednesday. No one at the office at checkput at 10 am and locked. Office was unattended most of the time other than check in.Chairs were ripped in the room. Towels were thin and noticed their policy on towels was ridiculous if soiled to change $29 for what I'd consider a rag quality towel.No evacuation procedure was displayed in room or fire extinguisher locations, given the room had a kitchenette. With no office staff, i see potential H/S risks

Spacious room, comfy beds, good for a short stay . The ground floor made access easier but zero privacy as all other residents walked past the room. Had to keep curtains and blinds shut. Good washer/drier but you need change. Close to the airport so good for an early morning flight.

Some items listed on description not present. No sofa and standard double bed not extra large as advertised. Also no laptop safe, no alarm clock or phone in the room. TV no internet so only Freeview channels. Door to the bathroom had no handle and didn't shut properly. None of these (except bed) was a real issue but room should be as advertised.

The apartment was very spacious, had a full kitchen and the bed was so comfy, close proximity to shopping and everywhere we were going.It's really nice having a spa bath in the room as well.

Was a little bit run down, the tap fell off when I went to use it, plug got stuck in the bath and the blinds fell to pieces when I tried to use them. It wasn't badly priced so didn't complain about it but definitely is slightly run down and wasn't the highest of cleaning standards. It was a nice, comfortable bed though.

A fabulous experience at the Alpha hotel. It was very comfortable and an extreme value for money. We were able to make meals in the room and the host was extraordinarily nice. His name was Sam. Sam is a tremendous asset to the alpha hotel, and I hope that the owners and management treat him appropriately. He is a great person, and we would definitely come back to the Alpha hotel specifically because of the service that Sam had given us. A tremendous value and a tremendous hotel.

This place has an exceptional spa bath. Heat, bubbles, massager and lights - the works! Very relaxing after a long day of walking around Christchurch.Great sized room with comfortable bed and kitchen. The black out curtains AND roller blinds are also a perfect touch, as it really keeps out the sun, so you can enjoy a little sleep in.The customer service here is exceptional. Check in process was easy and very welcoming. We had to change our dates twice (arriving & extending) and they were very accommodating. Always checked up on us and also gifted us a beautiful anniversary gift.If you need a nice place to stay and relax, this is it!

If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be just the extractor fan in the bathroom does not actual extract any thing. So it does fog up quite a bit, but easy fix just leave bathroom door open ?

More than what we needed. Close to our conference venue and very accommodating staff. Highly recommended, and exceeded expectations.

Door always automatically locks when closed, so make sure you have your key or someone inside if you're popping out to the rubbish/laundry!

Alpha was extremely quiet, clean , well looked after and lovely friendly staff.

Good location, loved the spa bath, bed very comfortable. Plenty of parking.

Need to update their towels, very old looking and not white anymore, discoloured.
