We found this to be a lovely hotel in a great location for us. We were upgraded to a bigger room at no additional cost for our 3 night stay. I will definitely book again when back in Christchurch.

The rooms were nicely refurbished, but the base building seems quite old, and had trouble getting the door closed. Poor fit.
Comfortable bed to sleep on. Situated in a good area, and it is easy to walk to places. Staff was helpful.
There's no washing machine despite the ads saying there were. TV was a problem, and the staff had to come and fix it many many times. The door to the shower was out of measurements, couldn't close properly, and water would flood out every time the shower was used. I dont think the room was sound proof, can hear everything from outside.

Clean rooms with a very modern bathroom. The bathrooms also had heated towel racks and a bathroom heater which was lovely. They also had delicious hot chocolate in their kitchenette facilities.
It's more of a motel than a hotel, you could hear cars leaving in the morning and traffic from the road. The shower door also didn't shut properly so the bathroom was flooded every time you showered. I would also recommend getting rid of the chairs and maybe just putting in an ottoman style chair so you can have somewhere to put your bags as the room was quite small.

Fly in room. Remember to dust every where. No lock on bathroom door - teenage son not impressed. Bed too hard for my liking and one pillow was weird - with something in it? No where to put and open suitcase without being in a main traffic area.
