The Parque

Location was walkable to restaurants, park. Room was comfortable, desk was helpful. Loved the mini kitchen. Need a small light for the mini kitchen.

noise on the street; couldn't get the complimentary Netflix to work. When we called for help, a real person was not available.

We really liked the roominess of the whole place. We liked the small bar area, microwave and fridge, some dishes and a tea kettle and selection of teas, roomy shower, everything super clean, well lit, and well maintained. There was even a small table and two chairs for eating or playing cards, or doing computer work. Truly it had everything needed for our comfort, and for a reasonable price.

We can think of nothing that could have been better.

The decor of the room was very restful and the facilities in the room made my stay stress free. Appreciated the options available when having a hot drink. The Parque is located in an extremely convenient part of the City. I will definitely be staying at The Parque in the future.

The TV remote seemed to have limited functions - perhaps it was operator error!!!

Great location

Very small room but had everything I needed. No on premise staff.

Simple but modern and comfortable room, with great in-room amenities like a kitchenette, bathrobes, and an easy check in/check out process.

Great location and clean and elegant. Lights that light up the bottom of your bed—ooh la la! A good quality place with really nothing to complain about regarding the interior of the room—they use synthetic cleaning supplies and all of that but it is a hotel. It was nice.

They were doing construction across the street when I was there which is loud, and there is noise in and from the surrounding area. A busy road both east-westwards and north-southwards is 2 blocks away in the perimeter in both directions, but there is a fantastic park that is right there you can walk to and enjoy being in. They have spring water in the botanical gardens so go drink that! My room was also the front one facing the street, so others are likely much quieter.

Quiet and close proximity to the beautiful Park Tce and Arts Centre. Clean and spacious room and comfy bed.

The bathroom heater was a big concern as it emitted very loud noises, then saw that it’s Serene brand, which is a recalled bathroom heater brand that failed the NZ safety standard. Off the heater immediately.

Great location. Compact but comfortable room. Lovely to have a kitchenette.

It was very clean and put together

When I arrived they had no water on sight due to an oversight in management and the city turning their water off. I arrived at 4 pm, called them at 4:30 after trying to shower, and they continued to not give me an answer until 8 o’clock the same night. Meaning I was in my room waiting for water or any update about the water for 4 hours. Every time I initiated to get an update the front desk would just act like it was not something they needed to rush and basically answered with a “you will get it soon” attitude.

Very clean room and toilet. Bed and pillows are comfortable . The laundry is outside the room and needs $2 or $1 coins. Newr the restaurants and parks.

Location was great, right by the park in a quite neighborhood close to the street with both morning and evening food options. It was 25 min walk to the CBD so definitely walkable in a good weather. Bus stops were close by as well. Facilities were clean and our room was good size with a kitchenette and a table with 2 chairs (no cooktop though). Decor was modern and stylish. Not sure if it was the bed or inability to open windows for fresh air, but I had a hard time sleeping, kept waking up. Overall good for the price we paid.

Not able to store luggage after check out on premises of the hotel. The staff over the phone offered to store our luggage at a sister hotel in CBD, but we ended up changing out flight to earlier instead of dragging bags across town to get the free luggage storage. Most hotels offer that service and we were surprised to discover it was not easily available at Parque.

Have stayed at The Parque numerous times now and love how it’s Very Clean, good size room, great location, lovely friendly staff

Noise from downstairs or neighbouring guests

Clean, comfortable modern premises situated in a great location. Nice decor, well appointed.

A really lovely room in a quiet area. Had everything we needed and more to spend a few days exploring Christchurch. Room was really spacious and comfortable, very clean.

Nothing!

Very clean, could tell the carpet was recently replaced and the walls were super clean. The cleaner staff was also very friendly and nice. Check-in/out super easy if you’re technology-friendly. Using key code to enter the building/room was very handy as we didn’t need to worry about losing the swipe key.Location is a bit further out of town so definitely need a car. Also no reception staff or in-hotel restaurants and services. Sheets weren’t changed during our 4 night stay.There was no lift, and you don’t get told which floor you’re staying. If you need accessibility you would need to check this.

Quiet, clean, modern
