    Pros +

    • Great location in CBD.
    • Staff, location, very helpful and friendly service, the beautiful historic building, the pool and spa facilities, spacious size of the apartment, cleanliness
    • Very central location and beautiful old building. Great staff.

    Cons -

    • Bed was a bit too soft ( and we prefer a soft bed!). Breakfast availability was very unclear as it is served at an alternative nearby location, so it wasn't advertised at all. Our suite furnishings were very outdated downstairs and the curtains were old and broken and didnt close.
    • But noisy at night and pool width limiting for more than 2 swimmers
    • A loud group going by around 2:00-2:30. The hotel can’t help that.

Location and historic building. Great shower.

Dirty. Carpet smelled and furniture and kitchen was filthy.

Cocktail bar and restaurant are great. Room size also excellent.

A lot of night time noise with people exiting bars when they close. Usually around 1-2am. Our room fronted on to Worcester Street

    7PaulPosted on: 1-18-2026

OGBbar and restaurant was great Lo

Room 45 (ours) was quite noisey until the early hours of the morning by nearby hotel patrons

    7KirstyPosted on: 1-17-2026

    Great location

Expensive. Kids weren’t welcome in the gym

Great size room. Separate bedroom space. Very clean. Lovely staff that helped with baggage in the rain at checkout. Furniture a little worn but 100% suited the heritage style of the building. Wonderful huge windows and such high ceilings. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money compared to other modern tiny accommodation offerings in Christchurch. Nice cocktail bar and outside bar.

Would have been nice to have a coffee machine or coffee plunger. Although we had no concerns some may need to be mindful of stairs to get to the bedroom and bathroom. Lots of noise through the ceiling from the apartment above.

Lovely spacious room for a family with ideal location in historic building.

    7StephenPosted on: 1-7-2026

    Location

Cleanliness of sofa and dining chairs, found a cherry stuff into the crevices of one of the dining chair . Floors of the bathrooms not cleaned daily.

    10RebeccaPosted on: 12-15-2025

Fabulous and opulent suite in a heritage building . Everything you could want is at your disposal . Kitchen , dining table , washer/dryer, pool, gym and situated right in the centre of Christchurch. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were quiet.

Excellent value and very clean!Huge fridge and lots of space to make your own meals. Unique layout also made it interesting.

    3LouisePosted on: 12-9-2025

    Great location

Shower leaked as the door was broken; no aircon, ceiling fan was noisy and ineffective, curtains in lounge were filthy dirty, settee in lounge was torn on the back, only 2 seats in the lounge but the apartment was for 4 people, settee was very hard and upright not comfortable at all.

    Location

A lot of noise from outside of the room on the street, room was hot no air conditioning

    10JacquiPosted on: 12-2-2025

The room was very cool with the high ceilings and huge windows. Everything we needed and walking distance to food and entertainment

    7KerryPosted on: 11-24-2025

Lovely old building full of character.

The layout of the apartment was odd. One bathroom upstairs, and one downstairs. Would have liked to open the windows for ventilation.
