    Pros +

    • Perfectly adequate dorm room.
    • Comfy bed, close to the station
    • Price per night if not too bad

    Cons -

    • Check in was by video call, which would have been fine but without staff physically present, I felt like guests were louder and messier than other hostels.
    • Not a real community space to hang out with, just the restaurant
    • There's no one at the reception at all. The bed-space lacks privacy - too much gaps such that roommates can easily look into your bed-space.

The beds and bathrooms were really good.

There is a self check in sistem that ends up with a remote video call to reception to confirm your identity, which beats the whole purpose of a self check-in, in my opinion.More over, there is a restaurant downstairs which provides a welcome drink, but only to be taken when the restaurant is open (I have been three nights there and it was never open). Also the kitchen supplies is only a microwave.

Best hostel I’ve ever been to. User-friendly and super efficient. The owner thought of everything each travelers might need and prepared them in advance. For example, indoor slippers, personal lockers, towels, hair dryers, etc. it’s perfect. No laundry service. A parking lot outside. And it’s a cozy place to study at first floor if you have a laptop. The bathroom is good with face soap, shampoo available .

Location a bit far but acceptable The lower bed curtains have a small leak that might be a potential concern for privacy, which is the only place the hostel has to improve.

Good location, Good price, larger than usual lockers for storing things, and a nice curry restaurant on the ground floor.

My very first night in Sapporo I got a mild case of food poisoning, so I actually ended up in the bathroom for most of my first night. I spend the entire next day recovering in bed. I was so thankful for the comfortable bed, easy plug ins, fresh daily towels, and the privacy screen over my bunk. I actually extended my stay because of my sickness, ease of use accomodation, and its convenient location.

I spent a total of five nights here. While the initial checking in process was a bit annoying not having a real person, I understand how it probably aided in the affordability. I do wish the gaps looking into each bunk weren't so large. However my biggest complaint was waking up with bites on my hands and arms. I didn't think much of it till my final morning when I woke up to a bug crawling on the wall. Took a picture and looked it up, yup, bed bugs. I hope it can be taken care of for the next guests!

Location to the station was great.

Self check in via video chat to call center was frustrating. No one on staff. Anyone could just walk in during normal hours and was up to rooms without security.

    Close to Sapporo station

Not as private as other hostels with similar dormitory style. Big gap between ceiling/wall and your curtain. Hallway lights left on all night plus the gaps means it is not very dark at all. Second floor toilet very smelly (although looks clean).

    the bads are comfortable

there no staff in the front desk. you can talk to some one in India online that offer limited help.the bathrooms where dirty

    2TylerPosted on: 7-17-2025

    Overpriced, bad

Unmanned place, no staff, above a curry restaurant so it reeks of curry, and 15 dorm with 1 toilet.

    3MichellePosted on: 7-13-2025

No elevator, which might be difficult for people with heavy luggage. The smell of feet inside the dorms was so bad, and there was absolutely no ventilation. Could not sleep. There is space above the curtain to your bed that is wide enough for people to be able to see through. Not very private.

    7GuillermoPosted on: 7-5-2025

Very clean, good value and location near the train station

You don’t intersect with any real people. Just a random phone call with a guy in India to do the check in.

The price was very good and the location was a convenient enough walking distance from Sapporo Station.

Fair warning that this review might be influenced by the fact that I am not a frequent hostel user, I usually book hotels. The hostel being unmanned felt incredibly inconvenient. When you have a question or need something you have to go down to the first floor and call someone on a computer video chat who may not answer you. I get the impression these staffers are low paid and potentially manning the phones for multiple properties, because things were always brusque and not the most hospitable. When I called the Google maps phone number to ask a question on my way to check-in I was hung up on when I asked the person on the line to repeat their answer, as I was having trouble hearing on the train platform. The hostel is co-ed, which is fine, but it was occasionally more uncomfortable than I anticipated. There are two floors of dormitory beds, and apparently the toilet and shower rooms on one floor used to be female-only (and there were still signs labeling them as such), but as of mid-May both floors’ toilet and shower rooms are co-ed.I was woken one night by a man who sounded drunk hitting something or someone and shouting loudly at them to stop being noisy and disturbing him. (Whatever this “noisy” behavior that had made him so angry hadn’t disturbed my sleep, so I don’t know what started that.) He eventually went back to his own bunk, but it was an anxious moment. This is obviously the fault of the guest’s behavior, not the hostel, but it felt so unsafe knowing there was only a flimsy pull-down blind between me (solo female traveler) and a potentially violent man with no staff member on the premises. The bedding and sleep area was clean, but there were lots of built up dirt and dust in corners and shower changing rooms and other areas of the hostel.

    - Free hygiene products- Lax towel rental policy

Worst hostel I've stayed at during my 6 weeks in Japan.- No on site staff- No enforced lights out policy. 3/4 nights I stayed at this hostel the lights were on all night in the dorm room.- The night I arrived the bed I had booked was occupied.- Difficult check-in process ( Took 30+ minutes )- Little privacy, curtains did little.Seek cheaper and better options elsewhere in Sapporo

Great location, close to Sapporo main station and 24 hour checkin was a nice perk! Inexpensive and comfortable enough for a short stay.

Not the cleanest, bunk bed looked like it had been slept in before I arrived, hair and debris on the sheets. Dorm rooms were small and full, smelled bad because of shoes/socks.

    9SamPosted on: 4-28-2025

Extremely cheap, easy to get to from the main station, good location, clean.

    7MaggiePosted on: 4-17-2025

Hostel itself and the cafe staff were lovely.

Check out was at 11am, but house keeping came and started turning beds at 9.30am. The man kept looking at us and waiting for us to leave even though he was the one who woke us up and we still had an hour and a half left until check out.

    9TillyPosted on: 4-3-2025

Booked very last minute. Easy check in as there are no staff, just on an iPad

    8TachinaoPosted on: 3-28-2025

Lodging about 10 minutes from JR Sapporo station. There is a restaurant on the first floor during the daytime, but it is not involved in the hostel. The location is good, but if you have a lot of luggage, it's a long walk to the train.

It was difficult to understand how to use the lockers.Men and women share the dormitory, so be careful what you wear.
