- Location
- greatlocation
- Provide free drinks, wine and snacks at tea break and after dinner time.
Cons -
- Terrible experience. Unfriendly staff. Small room. Bathroom shower area not clean. Shower curtain nasty. No restaurant on site for lunch or dinner. Overall bad experience. To save money they have you pick utensils in the lobby when you check in.
- the carpets needed to be replaced.
- When got busy, only two elevators so a staff member directed people into queues.Since were already checked in and staying, after returning from a walk, we had to queue behind a busload of Chinese arrivals who had just arrived.

Central location and close to the university and parks.Free drink and snack service late afternoon was welcomed.

The room was spacious, with and old-style decoration.
But the style of the room is a bit too old for me, would like to see some renovations to update the grand Mercure. Location is okayish, we are a group of 3 and take a taxi often to place like JR Sapporo and Susukino.
GoodCleanParkingLocationHappy hour
Room was comfortable and big enough. Beds were comfortable. A+ clean. Housekeeping was great.
Room not small
Long walk from parking, no facilities working, no breakfast included, looks like 5 from outside but hardly 3* from inside
Location was great - Nice hotel, Free drinks and snacks at Happy Hour and Night cap. Staff were friendly and the price was good for such a large hotel room.
The Room was too hot and aircon wasn't adjustable. The staff were helpful and brought a pedestal fan to the room, which helped but all we could do was turn off the aircon, but then there was no circulation in the room.
Free drinks in the afternoon
Beds were very hard pillows were to soft.
Front desk service is good. All staff were very helpful. Exceptional service by the lady who checked us in for our 2 rooms (can't remember her name, maybe Ioene) - she is courteous, resourceful & efficient.Housekeeping was attention to detail with everything in order.
Lack of hotel facilities, no room service, no porter, restaurant isn't open all day.
The rooms were newly renovated.
The property itself was old. Im assuming it was an old hotel bought over by mercure. We arrived by the back entrance at around 10pm and it was dark and unwelcoming.
Amazing breakfast and snackbar. Rooms were clean and staff was very nice
The hotel allows some people to try and sell goods to you on the indoor walkway to breakfast each morning. Most of them are nice, but there was a group of ladies trying to sell a very overpriced tea ceremony to tourists that were very pushy. It felt a bit scammy and was surprising such a nice hotel would allow that.
Location was good to Odori Park. Complimentary drinks at night
Our booking price was for 4 adults. However when I booked, I put my name and my daughter’s name for a room each to secure the booking. As the price was for 4 adults it was a surprise when the hotel then charged us as extra 8000 yen for my husband and son- in - law. We thought we had paid for 4 adults but they insisted we only paid for 2 adults. We booked 2 seperate rooms
Spacious, Good view, staff lend us a fan
No Wifi Internet,
Rooms are big, clean. Nice and firm bed with clean sheets. Courteous staff. Nice view of Sapporo. Short walk to the end of Odori Park.
About 4 blocks away from shopping and food places. Limited food outlet in the Hotel. Breakfast buffet can be improved.
Breakfast hall was spacious and had good dishes to offer. Our room was very clean.
Quite off center from areas of interest. Beds were a bit overused already. No small window for fresh air. No gym (at least a couple of treadmills and some weights) and no place to eat ala carte, the hall would have been a terrific venue.
Close to train station, many big elevators, there’s convenience store nearby
No gym
Handy for city centre and skiing
Paying for parking
Impressive breakfast buffet
Rooms (on the sixth floor at least) felt old and a bit shabby. And it stank of smoke, despite being a non smoking room
