Pros +
- Location
- The place was very cozy and clean. The area where people can hangout and eat their meals was also very cozy.
- Had a great stay here! The location is excellent, very close to all the main attractions in Sapporo, which made exploring the city super easy. The room was comfortable and clean, and everything went smoothly throughout the stay. Definitely a good choice if you’re visiting and want a convenient, stress-free stay.
Cons -
- The stairs were too narrow and I didn't realize how troublesome it was not having an elevator.
- While well-communicated beforehand (kudos to the staff!), the lack of an elevator is a downside when you are on the top floor.
- It was a bit of a ways out of the city centre, making it slightly cheaper. The walk to downtown proper was around 35-40 minutes which isn’t too bad if you don’t mind walking.

Perfect location right next to a station on one of the main subway lines. The mattresses were some of the best I have experienced in Japan and the rooms looked very nice. The shared space was very spacious and comfy as well.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. I had all the amenities that I needed and the beds had a good amount of privacy. The shower was exceptionally clean which was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly, always greeting me when I came in, and always happy to chat or help out. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Also the subway stop was a minute walk away which was extra convenient.

The location is really great but the facilities and bed could be better.
The facilities were just so so for me, it was a bit difficult to get to the bed as the ladder was so thin. The door opens directly to the stairs and is a bit dangerous as we may hit people who are going up or down the stairs. You may also trip if you go down the stairs immediately.
The location was great. It is right next to the subway, but if you don't mind walking, it's only a mile from Sapporo station/ shopping area. The price was excellent for the mixed dorm, and the staff was friendly. I also liked that the beds were in a little "pod" for added privacy. I had no issues with the showers either. Clean, good water pressure, and good temperature control.
The bed was pretty rigid, and the pillow was uncomfortable. It would be fine for someone that sleeps on their back, but I generally sleep on my side and had difficulty sleeping through the whole night because of the discomfort. I kind of wish there was a task light in the bed area, so that I could read in bed. The provided lighting was okay, but not quite bright enough for reading.
Comfortable, with a nice view of the road, and warm inside. Highly recommended this place.
Location and price is convenient and just right. Near supermarket, train station and places to eat.
It is clean and affordable. Can leave luggage with locks.
It’s a bit far from the main lively part of UENO but there’s a train station 5-7minutes away by foot where you can ride the train and go elsewhere
Location is great. It is 2 stops away from Sapporo Station and only 3 stops away from Odori Park (which is great if you are there for the snow festival). There is a 7-eleven 5 minutes away and a drugstore right in front. Bed is on the harder side but still comfy. It is decently clean.
The showers are quite small and there is only 4 shower rooms, which means sometimes you have to queue a little bit. My main issue with this hostel is that it seems to be the type where backpackers/travelers would stay and work for a few days and leave. The girl at reception was permanent staff I think, but the ones in charge of cleaning seemed to be people staying at the hostel. They were incredibly loud whilst cleaning and later as well in the common room, where they spent the rest of the day playing Mario Kart at full volume. Also one of them found it funny to play a VERY high pitched alarm at random times to confuse the Japanese staff and make them look everywhere for the source of the noise. It seems to me it the kind hostel where your experience is gonna depend a lot on who is the temp staff
the place was clean and the staff was nice
the beds weren't great. its cash only which they should say so you aren't going outside looking for an atm. and the bathroom to take a shower is located on the first floor.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was cozy and had a lot of character.
The floor was dusty and everything was a bit worn out. The mattress was worn out and the ladder was so thin it hurt my feet.
The staff and people there are super nice and friendly, feel like home. Bed is comfortable, location is great.
Great common area where to chill on a couch and chat with other people. Warm and cosy, with a maximum of 20 guests. The rooms have plenty of privacy, with closed wooden boxes to sleep in. Modern showers and toilet facilities. Just in front of the subway station, a supermarket, convenience stores, and restaurants.
Lighting of the bed could be improved: it was difficult to see things and organise one's belongings.
Good location, good common spaces
There is no lift and you lught have to haul your stuff 5 floors (not ideal when you have skis or suitcases)The bed was beyond uncomfortable and the pod quite dirty. Same goes for the bathroom, especialy by Japanese stqndards
Good location,bed is comfortable
Very narrow and deep stairs. Not good for travelers who have big or heavy luggages.
I appreciated that the person who checked us in helped us up the stairs with our bags. The room was quiet and comfortable. The lounge is very pleasant and the hostel is in a great location.
It would have been nice if the building had an elevator because we had a lot of bags and our room was on the top floor.
The privacy of the bunk beds is fantastic. In the morning, the showers were always available
There was a strange smell in the women’s dorm. This was distressing. The locker box was very small and didn’t feel safe.
The staff were so kind and patient. The atmosphere was easy going and pleasant. I loved their bar and 2nd floor "living room" space. And my room was definitely "big" in terms of Japan.
The doors felt loud, if that can be a thing. Everything echoed in the hallway when the doors opened or closed.
