Hotel Grand Terrace Chitose

Nice and comfortable hotel located close to many amenities, at a fair price. Good breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff.

The Hotel has complete amenities, complete with basic needs, free flowing of coffee, the breakfast is very good for its price only cost 1,400 JPY (pre booked) for a Buffett breakfast. The Hotel maybe old, but very comfortable to stay.

The hotel was clean and had a good view.I liked the location because it was close to a convenience store, close to downtown but was not downtown, so it was quiet and relaxing.

The parking lot usually seems congested,but besides that, everything was good.

All is well, but the WiFi is a big failure ....

In this time and age the WiFi is woefully inadequate and this ALONE is giving Japan (not just the Hotel itself) a bad name insofar as internet connection is concern.Most plp use this hotel as the last stop to get to the airport, and will need WiFi for flight confirmation, immigrations submissions, last min email access, etc and will inevitably remember to pain/frustration of getting WiFi connected in the room.

Bad smell dirty at the reception counter in room air duct is full of dust bed smell , so I don’t recommend this place for anyone

Free shuttle bus service to New Chitose Airport.

My family stayed in a non smoking triple room. The extra bed is stinky. A lot of dust on the carpet near it. I couldn’t sleep in that extra bed I paid for. I needed to squeeze into the same bed as my daughter.

Quaint hotel. Airport shuttle. Delicious dinner.

Not that I didn't like it but a bit of updating would be nice.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was pretty good. I like that the shuttle is available but didn't get to use it (had planned to) because I had my boarding time wrong and had to rush in a taxi instead.

It's a bit dated. I was originally staying in a "cabin" room - I think it should be made clearer what the logistics are for bathrooms/showers for people staying in those "rooms." Also - the doors don't lock and aren't really doors - more like curtains. While there is AC, it's one big AC for all the rooms combines (so no self control of environment), which means a portion of the wall is open to each room, making noises/privacy/etc. more of a concern.

It is a vintage hotel … looks like a long history behind the hotel..

Noice levels quite high from adjacent rooms.A little too far to walk to the Chitose City Centre. Need a car or taxi.

There is a front office staff that by the name of Yui ( Chinese national ) who is very rude in answering my question. My details is, I checked in on 2nd April night. Please deport him either to other business unit or to other department preferably to the janitor department as he spoils my vacation in Hokkaido.

Hotel has shuttle service from airport, room is slightly small. Good for transit or for stay on your first night of arrival and last night before departure

Things are too old. The rooms has old stench smell. Could be better since it's mainly used as transit hotel. Facilities are too old.

Cheap rooms are not soundproof at all, they dont even have full wall on them. I could hear everything and didnt sleep all night, its not worth it. You cannot lock them as they dont have real doors and toilet are 3 min walk..

Cleanliness

You have to sleep in 25c sweating because they can’t turn the heating off.

The airport shuttle service was excellent. This is why we booked here because the shuttle service is very convenient.

THe first night we stayed, Feb 1(?) the room we had was in the original building and the room was very small and dingy. The night we stayed at the end of our trip (Feb 12?) the room was in the newer annex and the room was good.

The room is spacious to compare with other Japan stays, they provide all the needs for stay (toothbrush, shower cream, shampoo etc.) at the lobby and extra pillows also can be taken at the lobby. There is a convinience store just across the street to get some food and drinks. They also provide free coffee at the lobby area. Earliest free shuttle to airport is at 6am and it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the airport.

Other than the room being a bit dated, nothing much to complaint on.

The airport shuttle was VERY helpful and convenient. It was actually a big reason we chose this hotel.

It was weird that you had to step up to get into the bathroom but I don't think it's worth a huge remodel just to fix that. But I have to admit I didn't particularly like that because I get up in the middle of the night to pee.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this hotel. There is a beautiful courtyard view from the reception area, the building is spacious and relatively open, and the staff were great to deal with. I will myself most likely be staying again during my next visit to Chitose.

Fabulous buffet breakfast

Location. A but off the beaten path. And don’t expect to take the shuttle feom the airport unless you arrange it in advance. Shuttle to airport okay!
