Pros +
- Charming and lovely hotel, comfortable room and bed. Great breakfast, the nicest and most helpful staff. Especially mr. Santasak who helped us with our car reservation process and problem and solved everything in the most efficient way. We loved this hotel and looking forward to stay there again in our next visit to Hokkaido.
- The hotel is conveniently located across from a shopping mall with a supermarket inside, making it very easy to get around. Many attractions are within walking distance, though it can be challenging during snowy or very cold weather. The highlight of this hotel is the staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English, which made the stay very comfortable for international travelers. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a good night’s sleep overall.
- We stayed during the Christmas week and really enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a warming welcome drink which was a lovely touch. The staff were exceptionally helpful and provided everything we needed. The staff also gave us some great tips for enjoying our stay. The rooms were well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and were a great size. The food at the hotel was excellent. The location of the hotel was great - we walked nearly everywhere we went. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
Cons -
- My only grievance was I wish the location was 5 minutes closer to the station and main streets of Sapporo. It's not terribly far, only about 15 minutes, but when you are making that walk multiple times a day after a lot of sightseeing, it does start to feel a little too far.
- Lots of walking to get here from much of Sapporo. But that's a minor quibble.
- The dark mood and interior design is not too my liking, but by the end of my stay I embraced and appreciated it.

Good position in the city, easy access to everythingBeautiful interiorVery good and unique scent throughout the hotelStaff very kind, they look happy to be thereBest hotel
Great service is often the case with hotels in Japan, but Hotel Sosei was on a whole new level compared to anything we had experienced previously. The staff truly made you feel special, like you were some kind of foreign dignitary to be treated with the utmost respect. The room was spectacular (and we stayed in the cheapest option available) with a massive bed and large amount of space. The bar next to the reception counter was also a highlight, especially when the bartender went out of his way to give us detailed recommendations for local ramen spots.

The staff here are wonderful - attentive, friendly, and helpful. I commend them for their professionalism..The breakfast is excellent, as are the rooms.
Lots of walking to get here from much of Sapporo. But that's a minor quibble.
Staff went above and beyond to assist with some special requests. Best bed, darkest and quietest room I've experienced in a long time. The hotel is within short walking distance to Sapporo attractions, or at least important train stations.
The dark mood and interior design is not too my liking, but by the end of my stay I embraced and appreciated it.
The room and everything was very clean and modern. Decent size room considering this is in Japan. All the staffs were very friendly and helpful the entire time we were there. The hotel is not in tall building so I feel more comfortable if there's any earthquake. Sapporo Factory which is a shopping mall is just across the street from the hotel. There are restaurants, stores and market that are quite convenient.
Breakfast wasn't an option when we booked this hotel so I ended paying directly to the hotel when we checked in. Breakfast was more western style and it could have included more local and Japanese style ingredients. The hotel was not near the train station so we walked about 15 mintues to get there. Also not near all the other major attractions. Walking to those places take about 15 minutes and more.
Great hotel. After 3 weeks in the countryside it was great to immerse ourselves into this luxurious hotel. Being greeted by Issac from California was a lovely surprise after being so immersed in deep Japan.Super cool spot, well decorated. Loved sitting around the fireplace in the bar area. I wish I could remember the bartenders name. He went to school in Pittsburgh. Was lovely to talk to.Take advantage of raw milk from Hokkaido university at the breakfast buffet. It's delicious. One of my favorite breakfast barsLocation is good. Right across from the Sapporo Factory shopping area. 15 minutes walk to downtown where everything is happening. If you have a hankering for Indian food I highly recommend Taj Mahal across the street
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is beautifully appointed.
AC did not work well at all including in many shared areas. Location is a bit removed.
The hotel was so luxurious. The decor was over the top elegant and stylish. The staff was very attentive, knowledgable and friendly- exceptional. We ate at the bar. They had a wonderful happy hour and ate a couple of meals there. It was wonderful! Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. A real treat!
Nothing- it was all wonderful.
First off, this was the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The service was unparalleled. The staff were friendly and greeted you at the door and helped bring your luggage in and up to the room. They gave us welcome drinks, a piece of chocolate and even a small gift upon check in and the breakfast was buffet style but honestly so luxurious and a wide selection of Japanese and western cuisine. The room was comfortable and had Netflix!
Nice decoration and the bed was very comfortable. Very nice and a really good price considering it was almost completely booked.
The design and aesthetic of the hotel was fantastic. Loved the deep tones throughout the building. The room had the perfect amount of space and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were top notch and so kind. Parking available 4,000 yen per night. Great location.

From the moment I stepped into the M Gallery Hotel in Sapporo, I felt genuinely welcomed. The lobby’s warm lighting and tasteful décor set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Every member of the team greeted me with a smile and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed.A special shout‑out goes to Minoru at the bar. He made us feel very welcomed and helped us out with pronouncing Japanese words. I’m not sure of the other bar man’s name, but hey made me a special cherry blossom cocktail and it was so thoughtful and delicious. The complimentary food at the bar is such a beautiful touch and so yummy, hats off to the chef.My stay here was my favourite part of my Japan trip and I could not reccomend it enough.
Great decor, rooms and facilities
Beautiful and tasteful furnishings, friendly and discreet staff.
The gym could have been better equipped and the door solid (not see through) to exercise in peace and unobserved by passersby.
Modern hotel with very new finishings and very friendly reception and door staff. The location opposite the sapporo factory is handy, 7-11 and supermarket, with some nice restaurants and interesting shops. We had trouble with room service not changing our dirty cups and plates... Day 2 onwards we purposely stacked all dirty cups and plates in the sink so they know we want it changed. Gym was small but everything was new and very clean. Coffee facilities available downstairs in the morning.
Helpful staff, very comfortable, great breakfast.
Not enough lights
The hotel and it's facilities are exceptional. Very clean and modern. The staff are very helpful and courteous. The Bar is exceptional and very knowledgeable staff on Japanese whisky. Over all, a very highly recommended.
