    Pros +

    • Location, amenities
    • Breakfast bar and room accommodations.
    • Onsen is great with a variety of bathing options - this is why I would return. Snacks and coffee are available throughout the day as well as complimentary evening ramen. Staff were helpful, parking was convenient and easy to use.

    Cons -

    • Hard pillows, constant heat, lack of air circulation
    • One of the staff member was not helpful. But others were super helpful. That's why the one didn't stood out.
    • Room felt a little dated and poorly maintained versus other Dormy Inn's I have stayed at, didn't feel as premium as the name may implyRoom was probably a little on the small side for two people even by Japanese standardsElevators seemed to have an issue occasionally where they would visit every floor in the hotel regardless of if they had been called

The included breakfast was AMAZING! The only hotel where there is a DIY unli chirashi bowl for breakfast. Feasted on fresh salmon, scallops, tuna, hamachi and ikura. Other breakfast options were wonderful as well. The unli night ramen, free coffee, post onsen ice cream and probiotic drink were wonderful. Location was wonderful too, right smack the shopping street at the Susukino area.

The rooms were small and decor was a bot dated but the room was very clean.

Situated inside Sapporo's main shopping street, you are literally a 5 minute walk to everything in the center of the city. Plus this Dormy Inn features the above board amenities offered standard by their chain such as a hot springs, free ice cream afterwards, a morning probiotic drink and a late night (after 9pm) free noodle soup. The price is not bad as well so its worth it.

Breakfast was good, typical dormy inn quality, good spread of Japanese food (including sashimi!). We loved the location (in tannukikoji shopping street: near all souvenir shops and 24/7 Don Don Donki) but need some walking to mrt as it’s in the middle between odori and susukino stations. There’s also free ice cream and ramen in evenings just like other dormy inn hotels. It was in between family mart and seicomart so super convenient! Bus from airport stops about 8 minutes away so it was relatively easy to get there from new Chitose airport.

The price difference between premium and usual dormy inn was not appreciably clear.

Breakfast, free ramen at night, free ice treats, and on-site massage availability.

Bathroom shower tiles could’ve been more scrubbed.

Good Location, Good Public Bath But lack of service mind !!

I’ve stayed at several Dormy Inns in different cities, but this is the first time I’ve ever been told I couldn’t use the onsen because of my tattoo even though it’s just a small, fashionable one. Also, the staff here weren’t very friendly; especially the front desk, who hardly smiled. It’s quite different from Dormy Inn Wakkanai, where the staff were always so warm and welcoming.

The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choices including a sashimi bowl. But the coffee was awful.

There is nothing "premium" about this Dormy Inn. When I got to the room it was the smallest room I have ever seen. There was no closet, desk, or floor space to put a suitcase. The beds took up the whole room. There wasn't even a window with natural light. I went to the desk and asked for a bigger room. I had to pay an extra 2000 yen a night for the upgrade to a decent sized room. The onsen in this Dormy Inn is tiny, the smallest I've seen of the 4 Dormy Inns I stayed at on this Japan trip. Only 6 people at a time could be there. I was very disappointed in the onsen. If I'm ever in Sapporo again I will choose another hotel. At this price point it was not worth it.

The hotel is located in a busy area so it’s easy to find food and things to do right by it but you’re also close to other things like the Hokkaido Historical Village and the stone henge replicas.

    I don’t really have anything I didn’t like.

    8DennisPosted on: 9-20-2025

Great location, right next to shopping street and walking distance to the Odori Park (where a food market were on while we're there - we got to taste foods from villages we didn't plan to visit) and several attractions. Great breakfast with lots choices of seafoods.

The onsen facility has a modern design, but it's not natural hotspring water. Also the main pool is way too hot for two of the three days when I stayed there. I couldn't use the main pool and saw very few others could stay in the main pool for more than a minute.

    Too small

    10TeresaPosted on: 9-13-2025

The breakfast, the lounge/manga room that offered different free snacks throughout the day. The public baths were also nice. It was also in a very convenient location.

The parking garage was small and the outside garage they instructed us to use was confusing and not super close.

    8DennisPosted on: 9-7-2025

The breakfast was excellent. There was a huge selection of foods like izakawa style and the quality was very good. The Dormy Inn onsen was also very nice.

The only thing was the bed and pillows were somewhat uncomfortable.

    9KevinPosted on: 8-7-2025

Classic Dormy Inn in a prime location that opens directly onto the covered shopping street

Great location , onsen and seafood bowl breakfast

    Room is small .

    8MichikoPosted on: 7-2-2025

Amazing location. It’s on Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and a quick walk to Odori station or Susukino station. Plus, there’s gender-separated public spas that’s open from 3 pm into early morning.

None of the staff speak any English, so communicating a work package delivery was complicated. However, the check-in and check-out process was still very easy.

Late night soba. Free popsicles and coffee. Nice onsen, comfortable bed.

Only one pillow. Room too tiny for 2 adults. Staff
