Hotel Royal Classic Osaka

This hotel is beautiful and modern. The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and lovely. Our room was quite spacious and we felt very lucky to get to stay here. The location was quite a bonus as well and pretty architecture stood out.

The bed is quite firm, but we found this to be the case at all hotels we stayed at in Japan.

The location was very convenient - very close to Namba train station and Dotonbori. Comfortable room and wonderful breakfast.

I liked the location and how clean the property was.

It was a little noisy at night.

The minute we walked into the hotel the staff was very friendly and handled our luggage with care. The rooms were modern and comfortable.

I wish there were more food options in the hotel restaurant and the rooms were a little small,

This hotel was a perfect for me. First surprise was the convenience it offered since we arrived with Metro and the hotel had its own entrance from the metro station which was such a plus. And every trip we made with metro required just a trip with elevator from our room to the basement to the station, super convenient. Hotel is also located in the center close to all the main shopping street and food. It also has great connections with other parts of Osaka with metro beneath the hotel. The room was superb, views were great and cleanliness was on point. Beds are comfortable as well. Breakfast was good but it could be better.

My only issue were the bed pillows which were super thin and squeezed into even thinner thing. Thats the only issue I had with this accommodation.

Nice location, ample rooms, with a desk and a long chair, the rooms have hanging space and drawer space…

Impersonal space, the bathrooms are on the small side, the rooms have carpet which makes it smelly.. and difficult to see if it really is clean or not. The breakfast is not of very high quality compared to other hotels in its class in Japan.

Great views of Osaka. Room was on the small side but very well thought out. While soaking in the tub, can see the buildings. So pretty at night. Breakfast buffet was huge! Staff was very kind.

The location is super convenient. The subway and bus stations are underground of the hotel. The train station to the airport is 3 mins walk away. The staff was helpful, but English skill was not great.

English skill of the staff was not great, making communication difficult. We had 2 rooms and 3 keys. I do not understand why the hotel insisted that we brought back all 3 keys at check-out, which was a minor inconvenience. They are digital keys that hotels can make non-functional once the guests check out.

My only gripe about this property was the breakfast. For example, they used breads, croissants, etc. that had not been baked on premises. They looked more like processed breads. I just think when you’re paying $40 a head that you should get high quality.

Unfortunately I lost my airpods inside tne bedroom. Never found them again. No response from Booking Customer service yet and not possible to communicate directly with the hotel through the message center

Convenient location. The hotel is maintained very well. Breakfast was delicious and staff is very helpful. The rooms were good size and the shower head was massive.

The location was great.

We paid for laundry service for our two rooms and the laundry from one of our rooms wasn't cleaned. It was returned looking like it was, but it smelled, and was obviously spoiled. The hotel contracts out the laundry service. I asked them to remove the 10k YEN from the bill and they got 4 staff involved and actually made my daughter open her suitcase and take out each item while we watched them sniff the items. They were essentially acting like we were making it up. After this they agreed to credit the clothes but were asking me to pay for the socks that were cleaned. I told them if the rest of the clothes weren't cleaned I doubted the socks were either. In the end we didn't pay but it was an ORDEAL!Also, I asked the front desk for a nice steakhouse recommendation and then we watched them google it on the computer and recommend the first place that came up. I obviously could have done that and was hoping for more of an insider recommendation.

Front desk staff exceptional. Halfway throughout our stay we had an issue with our room. Without any hesitation they dealt with it straight away and moved us to another room.

Breakfast and some breakfast serving staff very unhelpful. Buffet Breakfast is meant to be served until 10am, to leave by 10.30am. Though if you turn up after 9.15-9.20 do not expect for anything to be topped up. Very small selection of fruit and salad vegetables which is never topped up. I asked for slice of bread around 9.45 as there was none left, reaction of member of staff was unacceptable as if I committed crime.
