HOTEL THE FLAG Shinsaibashi

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Clean, new, comfortable and great location. Big updated bathroom with great shower, comfy beds, free coffee, and excellent laundry room. Best hotel I stayed in in Japan by far. Highly recommend

The location is ideal for those who want to be near Dotonbori. We asked for a quiet room on an upper floor, so our room was clean and quiet.

Minimalist theme and amenities

Advised that won’t fit 4 in family room that is huge and won’t let a tiny 4 yr old be added unless another room was booked. Staff also mentioned that they were unsure if luggages if will be sent on time in the airport despite being able to send it off within their 2 day requirement causing anxiety.

We really enjoyed our stay! It is off from Shinsaibashi street, lovely and quiet! Close to a 7/11 and easy to access all the different areas close by. The room was comfortable as was the bed. The room was large for Japan and the shower was amazing!

This is my second stay and I enjoyed it just as much the second time as the first.

Breakfast was delicious & amazing with varieties of different types of food (salads, desserts, drinks, pasties, ice creams, Takoyaki, meat & eggs, etc.) Display of food area was stylish. All staff were very nice & helpful. Location of the hotel was very convenient. Having coffee machine, water dispensing machine (we realized about the reusable water bottle rental around half way through our 21 nights stay which came in so handy, coffee at hotel was very good taste (my husband said), umbrellas for hotel guests on 2nd floor was very useful until we bought umbrellas. Lounge area by the front desk was cool & relaxing. Fireplace was helpful on cold night.

More hooks in the bedroom walls & bathroom walls, additional outlet for the plugs on the headboard closer to window side would have been helpful since my iPhone charger cord was not long enough, & more counter space around bathroom sink would have been more useful. Windows were locked.

Excellent breakfast lots of healthy vegetarian options all ingredients were fresh and tasty. Staff were kind and they go extra miles to assist. When I was leaving they called taxi and came down and say goodbye ? staff were super friendly. Excellent location in save area for single woman travelerThank you ? Hope from California

I loved all the amenities like the laundry, water, coffee, umbrellas etc. all the details that say you care about guests <3

I couldn’t open the door to the outside but that’s okay because it was hot!

Staff were polite and helpful and location was decent

Breakfast was weird selection. Coffee was tepid. Rooms were small and too minimalist, missing a luggage rack, box tissues, and body lotion.

The place is clean with the minimalist touch. Facilities are outstanding. Most of all, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The location is near the shopping area. Restaurants are nearby too.

No view from the hotel

A perfect location and a very clean and quiet spot in the hustle and bustle of Osaka - the rooms are on the smaller side - but to be expected in a bigger city, though well laid out to make the most of the space.

The staff are so nice and helpful. The room was very clean. Breakfasts are great. Location was excellent!

Beautiful and modern hotel. Spacious and clean.

The hotel itself was amazing. I’d personally choose a less busy location next time but that’s preference.

Location was so near multiple train stations and the Shinsaibashi Shopping Street and Main Dotonbori Areas. Their hotel breakfast is great too!!

The main street of the hotel was near some clubs, so not too ideal if you’re solo travelling or just a group of girls. Still safe just need extra caution especially at night!

The best location, super clean, modern, facilities are great which includes the washer & dryer. You can even borrow a water bottle during your stay.

The most amazing staff in Osaka !They went above and beyond to help us! Hotel was in an excellent location for shopping and food and breakfast was superb would stay again

Wonderful location! Right in the heart of Shinsaibashi,short walks to Dotonbori. Very close to train station and convenience store too. Room was clean,compact size,nice shower and comfy bed. Exceptional staff!
