Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi

Huge room, very clean, decent location, friendly staff.Room: Given that it’s a Courtyard the rooms were of their normal size found in their other properties around the world which is way bigger than a typical Japanese chain hotel. We requested a crib for our room and this one was a typical one found in many other hotels in Asia. It was still very comfy and our little one enjoyed naps in it.Location: Hotel is right above Sakaisuji Hommachi station which serves the Chuo and Sakaisuji lines but neither of which take you to Shin Osaka for the Shinkansen or Umeda for that you have to walk a bit further to Hommachi station which serves the Midosuji line, so if you’re coming and going via Shinkansen expect to walk a few blocks with your luggage. Otherwise there are a ton of eating spots within a short walk and Konbinis everywhere.Staff: As usual the staff were very friendly and nice, every time we entered and left we got a greeting.The free Nespresso machine in the lobby was a nice perk and was a good start to the day.Looking forward to staying here again!

Property is walking distance to all shopping centers (1.5miles). It’s situated on the quiet part of Osaka away from the noise of Doutonbori and shinshabashi areas.

Quite, clean and rooms are larger than the average japanese rooms

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with good quality topper. Room was quiet.

This hotel is an international hotel. I do expect that there are some international TV channel to be enjoyed by foreigners. However, all of the international channel are not working.

The staff was very friendly. The property is nearby the metro/subway so you don't have to worry much about public transportation. The shopping and food street is less than 200 meters. The hotel also provides a GYM facility and SPA ( open bath). Overall, it's a nice place to stay.

I got a different room than I originally booked and later they provided a big room but close to high so there is a lot of notice. The rooms are not soundproof so even if the room is not close to the highway there is still noise.

We stayed here for just over a week. Friendly staff, brilliant location and the most comfortable room. Unlike some hotels in Japan it was surprisinglyRoomy and for a longer stay this was great. Lots of shopping close by and also train station. HighlyRecommend

The bar downstairs was rarely staffed of an evening. We tried to have a pre or post dinner casual drink but couldn’t given it wasn’t staffed

Location of the hotel was fantastic. Very short walk from the train station and close to a lot of amenities. There is a big convenience store nearby where you can buy everything you need. The hotel has a nice spa. Beds were comfortable.

Twin room was a bit crammed for 2 persons.

Amazing!!! They received us with a delicious cheesecake and a very cute letter from the staff for our honeymoon! Staff very kind and helpful!!!

Smelt lovely as soon as entered, access to free use of coffee machine in lobby. Spacious, clean, modern room. Staff very friendly, helped with enquiries and assisted judgement free when we had some confusion re payment. We thought we had paid for the room in advance (we hadn’t) staff were extremely patient and respectful and we worked it out.

It was central to restaurants and train stations. The staff here were very helpful!

The hotel is very clean and stylish. It was clearly a popular choice for tourists and was very busy while we were there. The king room we had was spacious with a very comfy bed. The onsite coin-op laundry was great, and whatever detergent they put in the machines has magical properties that left our clothes smelling amazing!

The busy location meant that there was a lot of traffic noise, especially at night, and the soundproofing was not great. (Some other guests on my floor were yelling and slamming doors, and we heard it all).

Quite new hotel in Osaka!The room is comfortable and the staff is kind.I will definitely stay in this hotel next time if I visit Osaka.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi, and it was a very nice hotel. The metro lines, including the Metro Chuo Line and Metro Sakaisuji Line, were incredibly close, just 8-10 steps away. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was nice and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again soon.

We ended up paying more than what Booking.com told us to pay . As with all other hotels in Japan we had booked a room for 3 adults but they charged us more for the bed for the 3 rd person , but none of the other hotels in Japan charged us extra for the bed . The total cost for 3 people should be mentioned during booking itself .
