Hotel S-Presso North

Location was perfect a few steps to Nambas Station and Dotonbori. Staff were very helpful especially Haru. He was so accommodating and approachable. Five thumps up for him ?

None. Everything was okay.

The large window view towards the street.The cleanliness of the whole facilities.The ease of checking in and checking out.The Staff was friendly.

During my stay on Saturday night,there was a loud exhaust noise from group of motorcyclists at midnight so i found it a bit difficult to sleep. But i know its not the hotel's fault.

Rather difficult to reach staff as the hotel is unmanned which makes clarfication more difficult

The front door should be provided with a ram or slope instead of a stepped up/raised floor that causes accidental tripping

This was my second time staying in this hotel - this time was alone rather than with a friend, and I chose it because the location is great for Namba & I knew what to expect from my last visit. The hotel is a little grubby on the inside but good price for the location. Comfortable so cant fault it much - as a returning guest, I would stay again.

Bathroom & room in general could do with a more thorough clean & upgrade - bit dated & grubby.

Near Namba station.

Small room. The air con in one of the room is not working properly and no staff was at work from 23.00. The air con menu is all in japanese. We can not figure out how to get it back to work.

The staff who spoke via a speaker during my self-checkin spoke fluent english.The size of the room is very decent and it has airco.The location of the hotel is convenient.

It was extremely unclean, just straight up dirty like I hadn't seen in any Japanese hotel before. Dust, hairs, and weird stains everywhere. The pubic hair in the bathroom and the nearby (blood??) stains in particular grossed me out. I thought maybe it was a matter of stains that refused to be removed during cleaning that the cleaning staff couldn't do anything about anymore... but when I tried to wipe it, it came off quickly, which just proved that no one had even tried to clean it at all. Also, I wanted to put my phone and earplugs above the bed, but there was so much dust that I barely dared to put anything there...I will never sleep in an S-Presso hotel again, and I can't recommend it to anyone who values their health (the mold on the shower curtain and all that dust being blown around the room via the dirty airco can't be safe...)Oh also the window does nothing to block a single sound out.

Great location, easy to find and purposeful for what we needed

Not a hotel with staff or amenities of any sort. This is a hotel to stay at when you need a place to sleep and little else

you can enjoy one cleaning when you live more than five nights，the room is small but clean with basic equipment. very suitable for people who travel by single.very convenient to check in by self

the window cannot open，when i use the air conditioner i feel cold，but when i turned it off，i woke up because of feeling hot

There is smell in my room and so much dust at the head of bed. Toilet is quite small.Process of check in is complicated and take quite long. Lobby is so hot, we spent almost 15 mins to check in.

the check in was complicated and a bit stressful because my phone battery was low and I couldn’t access Wi-Fi but the receptionist took pity on me and talked me through the process and was very nice and helpful so it worked out in the end thanks to her

Unusual concept in terms of the keyless entry/no reception etc - you get a code sent to you that opens the front door & then you have to do a few bits online before get an e-mail back confirming room number & room entry pin. there is staff interaction over an alexa when you have been standing there confused for a while, and they were helpful - so all in all ok, when this is what you are expecting.

Initially the no reception/human interaction - but this was ok once speaking to staff over the alexa thing. Room was basic but fine.

convenient location

rooms are facing large roads, there is a lot of noise from the car traffic.

1. Zero sound-proof. I can hear the traffic outside and the music playing next door2. Louse/flea in the room, made me itchy all day & night even sleeping3. Bad hygiene. no one clean up even stay 6 nights. The agreement is no room cleaning if staying less than 4 nights but I stayed for 6 nights.4. Early check out, need to check out at 10:00am5. No luggage storage service check in/out6. Change password at front door without notice thru email or booking.com

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is near Namba station, the room was different from my last stay, the room has been renovated and new amenities has been given. The location is just great and have everything I needed, supermarket, convenient stores etc. and the self check-in is awesome to avoid coronavirus risks.
