    Very Good

    Based on 155 reviews

    Pros +

    • Easy access, close to train station.
    • The room was really big and was close to all the places we wanted to see. Easy for our 5 year old to walk around. Food was good for young children. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved our stay here.
    • Room was comfortable, a little awkwardly cut though, furnishings are modern and room was quiet with a nice view

    Cons -

    • Room too small, no view from my room.
    • Limited amenities, booking wasn't transparent as we had to still pay for an extra bed on site even though we booked for three people already
    • I viewed the breakfast and didnt really fancy it so we ate out.

Easy walk to train station, and very close to many cute bars and restaurants. Also the deco was very groovy with big teddy bears:)

I viewed the breakfast and didnt really fancy it so we ate out.

We arrived before check-in and was able to have our luggage stored prior to being able to access our room which. Room size (including bathroom) was very spacious, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There were a few convenience stores all within 100m of the hotel in the event you needed a snack or wanted to buy some food to have before you headed out in the morning. Was an easy 25 to 30-minute walk to Dotonbori and Osaka Castle.

Comfortable hotel, nice rooms, good breakfast.

    8EmilyPosted on: 10-22-2024

It is in a good location within walking distance to restaurants and trains. We stayed here back in 2019 also so I was glad to come back again

The air conditioning was difficult to get working, the room was quite warm

Great location - as we don’t like being in tourist areas. Craft beer place round the corner from the hotel, and a great gyoza place.Transport links to both North and South of Osaka so it’s really convenient.

Nothing - we love staying at Moxy Hotels

    8MarcelPosted on: 8-24-2024

Amazing location near everything, wonderful hotel and staff

I have nothing to complain is my second time and I will definitely come back

    9ParenoPosted on: 8-16-2024

The breakfast was good. We like the free drink when we checked in.

The only thing we didn’t like was all the channels on the TV were mostly in Japanese.

    9PhilipPosted on: 8-1-2024

We liked the Moxy spirit the fresh furnishing and reception area which at the same time was a bar, a meeting point and a breakfast area. It makes the place lively and fresh. The hotel is close to a metro station and there are quite many restaurants around the place to have a good meal in the evening.

It fits the cocept to have young staff managing everyting. If it is important to you that a hotel has the best specialised service at the bar or during breakfast then you want like the Moxy.

    weird guy on the staff

The man at the reception during evening and night was rude. He was annoyed by anything bring up to him. Answered to questions like we were wasting his time and sighing on top of it. very weird attitude. The women from the staff were very kind.

    9RayhbernadezPosted on: 7-27-2024

The room was very spacious compared to the average in Japan, the staff was very friendly and always willing to help. The location is good, close to several subway stations.

We asked for help on the day of our departure to order a large taxi since we were 4 people with suitcases and they told us they couldn't do it because they needed 24 hours in advance and that we wouldn't fit in just one taxi, however we arrived in an airport taxi, went out to the street, stopped a medium one and sure enough we did fit, they could have been more helpful.

The games and the ikebana class

    The brekkie didn’t appeal

    1DeborahPosted on: 6-16-2024

    Not much. Location was ok.

Staff. Uninterested. Language skills poor. Theme of hotel confusing. Rooms resembled prison cells. No window in our room. Horrid. Breakfast probably the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere. Price was hiked massively at check in. Service charge and taxes. Put an additional £145.00 on the price. Would not book Marriott again. No other hotel on our stay did this. Every other hotel booked via Booking.com was transparent with their pricing.

    1GodfreyPosted on: 6-14-2024

Not a lot really. The hotel has a very youthful vibe so might appeal to someone in their early 20s but the whole Prisoner C Block H, Builder Bear blend was more style than substance. It was only a short walk to Osaka Castle and there’s a great independent bar that brews its own beer just round the corner with its own Chef Ramsey - Ape. Twin rooms are substantially bigger with windows.

The reception staff showed no enthusiasm for their job taking 1 hr 30 to check us in. We were quoted £560 for a Queen and twin for 3 nights and then charged £695 on arrival, an additional £135 service charge. The hotel Manager threw in free breakfast but the food was awful and breakfast was in reception area with the pool table, darts board, games and teddies! To activate the room lights required a Mr Motivator session and the air conditioning repeatedly went from 21 to 25 degrees after 10 minutes of setting it. The kettle and water bottles sited in the toilet was a particularly nice touch.

    8AlisonPosted on: 6-3-2024

    Modern and fun

A little bit removed from the main areas of Osaka, a very quiet area at night

    9ClaudiaPosted on: 5-23-2024

Very large rooms for Japan, extremely comfortable beds, large bathroom and shower, and the hotel has a very good vibe and atmosphere. It’s also in a quiet location close to a metro station for easy access to the major attractions. The staff was very polite and very courteous.

The breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get, communication issues with the staff and language barrier. The location is nice but not much to do/restaurants.

    9CarlotaPosted on: 5-20-2024

Staff, location and room size were great!

    7LaPosted on: 5-7-2024

    Facilities and fun vibe

Not enough storage in the room. Bathroom was cluttered but still nice
