Ostay Vermillion Namba

What I liked best about this hotel was the short walk to the grocery store and Daiso.

What I did not like was the way we were treated when we told the hotel early on that the washing machine gave off a moldy, musty smell. The hotel handled the situation extremely poorly, disregarding health and convenience.

Great apartment with super comfy beds and easy access. The location was great being a short walk to the station and a convenience store across the road.

The property was nice, clean and had what we needed. It has a small kitchenette with a stove, tea kettle, mini fridge, microwave. Great for family with kids. Six minute walk to the train nearest train station.

Please add instructions for AC controls and bathtub in English if possible. The phone translator doesn’t do a good job of translating them accurately.

This is my third time staying at this property.the first & second time was well,but this time a bit disappointed because the other room smells bad.☹️

This was our second stay at O-Stay Vermillion Namba during the same trip, and we were just as happy with our experience. The room was again spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for our family and equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood, easy access to the train station, and the convenience of having Lawson right across the street. The self-check-in process was smooth, and overall, we were very happy we booked this hotel—it remained a great-value, family-friendly option in Osaka.

We had a very pleasant stay here and would gladly stay again.The room was very spacious, especially by Japan standards. We had two bedrooms, a living area, and a small kitchen, which made it perfect for our family and gave us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were big enough, though they were quite low and very soft—not exactly to my personal preference, but our kids absolutely loved them.The location was another highlight. The hotel is about a block away from the train station, and the station itself wasn’t busy, so the area felt quiet and relaxed. There aren’t many commercial establishments around, but having a Lawson right across the street was incredibly convenient.We also appreciated the washing machine in the room, along with the easy-to-follow guide with English translations—super helpful for travelers. The self-check-in process was a nice novelty and generally easy to use, though there were moments when having someone on-site might have been helpful. That said, customer support was responsive, though available only during working hours.Overall, this was a comfortable, affordable, and family-friendly stay. In fact, we stayed here twice during our trip, with a break in between when we traveled to Kyoto—and we were happy to come back. A great option if you’re looking for space, convenience, and good value in Osaka.

Personally, as a first-time visitor to Osaka, I would have preferred staying closer to Namba, where there are more restaurants, shops, and energy, especially in the evenings. While the quiet location is ideal for families with small kids or travelers who want to be away from busy areas, it may feel a bit too calm if you’re looking to explore food and nightlife easily. My husband also looked for a nearby gym, but there wasn’t one within close walking distance, so this is very much a no-frills hotel.

Room is clean and spacious. 5 mins walk to imamiya train station. Friendly staff. Amenities are very useful during the stay. 24hr Lawson convinience store just across the hotel.

True 2 bedroom . You can borrow umbrella for free. They have coffee bags and tea bags at the lobby. Spacious lobby. Close to imamaya station with a large daiso store and supermarket to get the basic needs
